This is almost as cool as weasels on crack, with the added benefit of it actually being done (i have yet to hear about science experiments where they give drugs to Mustelidaes)

In an effort to study how drugs affect memory, scientists have been drugging snails with methamphetamine and cocaine.

Why snails? because they have a much simpler neural network, and peta doesn't raise a fit when you drug them and poke them with sticks. Ok, I'm not so sure about the last part.

I fully expect to see this as a Ig Noble nominee.
