While this is very much off-topic, I'm going to post it anyway and apologize to Bob if it's not kosher.

On June 26-27th, I rode 150 miles on my bike to http://chaingang.zikzak.us]support research for Multiple Sclerosis. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter will use funds collected from the Great Mass Getaway to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we can fight this disease by simply riding a bike, because we have chosen to help thousands of people through a contribution to the MS Bike Tour, we are now getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."

What do you get for your dollar? well...
$1500 - $3,000 – Pays for one-year MS College Scholarship
$500 – Cost for a wheelchair co-pay
$350 – Cost of a ramp to get a scooter into van
$200 - Cost for an air conditioner
$150 – Cost of a shower bench and hand-held shower head
$100 – Cost for arm crutches
$50 – Cost for transportation to a medical appointment
$25 – Cost of home health care for 1-2 hours for one person living with MS

You can find more info about the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at %[link=http://www.nationalmssociety.org]http://www.nationalmssociety.org] and the New England chapter specifically at %[link=http://www.msnewengland.org]http://www.msnewengland.org].

I set myself a (mostly arbitrary) goal of raising $1,500 for this ride (which I have already met, but if I reach $3,000 I get a set of steak knives!), and every little bit gets me that much closer. Please sponsor my ride and help us find a cure for MS.

PS. Bob - if you don't want this on your forums, I'll understand and take it down.

Thanks,

If architects built buildings the way programmers write programs, the first woodpecker to come along would destroy civilization.
Given the overlap of those of us who like Bob and also like Gryphon of Undocumented Features, who recently learned he has early stages of MS, I dont think Bob will have a problem with it.

Just wish I had the spare cash to help sponsor you. Sad
Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky?
That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry-

NO QUARTER!!!

Bob definitely doesn't have a problem with it. Trust me on this.
