I was wondering if I can ask you guys for a bit of help trying to figure out how to search for a rather obscure Sci Fi book series...
It's a story about a British spy being assigned to an experiment which goes horribly wrong, and he gets thrown into an alternate dimension.
I can't remember who wrote it, or the name of the book of series.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Perhaps Richard Blade, who was regularly sent to alternate dimensions for 37 books' worth of adventures?

No prob, I had all the books when I was a teen. Blade was male teen escapist/power fantasy at it's finest.

I've read the first book, and it's been rattling around in my noggin for a while. Now that you've provided me with a name, I'll be able to fine-tune my searches for the books

Makes me want to re-read the entire run of The Destroyer Novels (At one point I had them all up to 100+) some of the best genre satire ever.
