So, I just received my BGG-raffle copy of El Alamein, with all the kickstarter bits. I now own my MSM-mandated-to-all-Republicans one piece of Nazi memorabilia.

As this is the closest thing to a merch thread here, and this topic doesn't really merit its own thread:
The Humble Freedom Bundle has at this point over 50 games a few novels going for the minimum rate of $30USD.  But unlike most bundles, 100% goes to charity on this one, split how you like between the ACLU, Medecins Sans Frontieres, and the International Rescue Committee.  They've already raised five million dollars.  Anyway, a little less than 3½ days left on the deal, and it seems like a pretty good deal for supporting democracy.

You know, I probably couldn't care less about most of the contents of that bundle, but yeah, for the cause it's supporting, I'll throw in my $30+.

In actual Kickstarter news; Elisa: the Innkeeper, a visual novel Kickstarted about a year ago has been published.

And holy cow.  They pledged to match up to $300K in bundle purchases... total sales on this bundle are almost $5.5 million right now.

TL;DR: Guy posts on the Robotech kickstarter forums to drum up support for his upcoming Rifts board game. The outpouring of vitriol from butthurt Robotech fans drives him to attempt suicide.

... and I forgot to mention this a week and a half ago, but when we got back from our LBI vacation, my backer copy of Spirit Island was on the front porch waiting for us.  (And I just searched the thread -- wherever I heard of this project, it wasn't here, and I wish I'd mentioned it to you guys.)  We've played this game twice so far and have enjoyed the hell out of it.

GROGNARD: Ruminations On 40 Years In Gaming

Loren Wiseman's gaming editorials. Foreward by Steve Jackson, afterward by Marc Miller.

Lower pledge levels get you the book; higher levels also get you collections of the Journal of the Traveller's Aid Society (the higher the level, the bigger the collection).

Two days in and it's already passed 12 times the funding goal.--

Yeah, Google popped that up as a news link on my phone. I'm definitely going to back that.

It popped up in my "Recommended for You". There are three reasons I'm not already backing it:
1) I try not to back more than five projects at a time.
2) I try to back projects in chronological order of their closing date.
3) By those first two criteria, there are three or four projects between me and R:CR. (If you were curious, or even if you weren't: Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears, probably Cavaliers of Mars, pretty definitely Highlander The Duel and Heart and Brain the Party Game. In the words of a great American poet, what's that say about me?)
Well, the RWBY board game is doing well, having currently reached $578k with 4 days to go, (original goal was $250k)

And here's a new kickstarter:  Goblins, the animated series (based on the Goblins webcomic)

In the event, I backed Miss FisherCavaliers of Mars, and Heart and Brain, but in between those last two, I went for Obsidian Eats, a vegan food truck out of Philly, which rallied at the last minute. Now I'm backing R:CR at the basic level, plus the villain-miniatures and Emerald-and-Mercury add-ons, and weighing the pros and cons of our mystery guest. (Beyond R:CR are Heavy Metal Thunder Mouse, The Complete SNES, and Slacking Towards Bethlehem [the Church of the SubGenius documentary].) Again, if you can build up a coherent picture of me from that, you're doing better than I ever did.
