Ah yes.

What people often forget was that Alfred was not only a spy, but a soldier as well - a decorated veteran - I think he was Royal Navy SBS, but not sure.

He was far more sanguine about acts of violence than his portrayal in the Dark Knight film series implied. The only thing he didn't really approve of was the times Bruce would come back home in an absolutely horrible state. Probably wishes that man felt differently about killing, but on the other hand he can't blame him given the circumstances - caught between a rock and a hard place.

I have to wonder if I'm the only one who thinks Marvel's "Squirrel Girl" is in truth the time-displaced daughter of Arthur and Hazel, and thus the rightful heiress to the throne of Britannia and wielder of Excalibur — which is most likely why no one's ever been able to defeat her....
