Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I've got a feelin' that somethin' ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
And I'm wonderin' how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
And I'm wonderin' what it is I should do
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face
'Cause I'm showin' up all over the place
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am stuck in the middle with you
Well you started off with nothin'
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawlin',
Slap you on the back and say
Please....please....
Tryin' to make some sense of it all,
But I can see there is no sense at all
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor,
I don't think that I can take any more
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am stuck in the middle with you
Well you started off with nothin'
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawlin',
Slap you on the back and say
Please....please....
Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I've got a feelin' that somethin' ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
And I'm wonderin' how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you

Sorry, but Tarentino has forever caused me to think of that as a song that Michael Madsen tortures policemen to. Not that it's not a cool song, but I have friends who, at the time, thought "Resevoir Dogs" was the coolest thing since glow-in-the-dark Silly Putty, and the repeat playings of it during my college career caused it to be burned indelibly on my mind. Which is unfortunate, since I've liked the song since I first heard it, when I was about 10.

I have, despite the best efforts of Helen's husband Attila (yes, that's his real name), avoided seeing Reservoir Dogs. I'm in an odd position in regards to my opinion of Tarantino's work. I love his dialogue, I love his eye as a director, his ear as a writer -- and I absolutely hate all the blood. I am not a gore-movie fan. And I am (probably vainly) waiting for the Tarantino movie that gives me everything I love about his work with none of the stuff I hate.
On a related topic, can anyone confirm or deny the rumor that the American anime-fan movie director "Tarantar" who appears in episode 37 of Kodomo no Omocha (if I recall correctly) is based on Tarantino? He's in Japan to make a commercial featuring Sana-chan, and as it turns out, the commercial has a gangster theme, and while blond he seems to have a similarly-craggy face to Tarantino.
