So, the fanfiction forum (
thefanfictionforum.net) seems to have disappeared. I occasionally poke my head in there, but for the last couple weeks I've been getting a 404 error. Does anybody know what happened? I originally thought it was because of a borked conversion to XenForo (the same forum software
SB,
SV, and
QQ*NSFW run on) due to the redirect when browsing to the site , but I would have thought if that was the case, the site would be back up by now (either in original form, or fixed install).

The only posts since
2013 2015 on that site seem to be a bot, so I think that's the original version of the site that was abandoned (and somehow ended up on tapatalk?), not the current one that's hosted at thefanfictionforum.net.
Was originally an IPB site that got forked after the admin vanished. Then the admin had a hissyfit and everyone forgot the original existed.
Don't know what happened to the replacement - I forgot it even existed until about a week ago when it was still up
And it's back up, running XenForo. So I guess that it was just the upgrade/conversion process taking a while.
Cool. Maybe I should try posting Being You is Suffering over there after I make a thorough editorial pass on it. It'd probably be better than reposting the whole thing here, though that idea has merit as well.
... and FanFictionFederation has now ALSO been assimilated by Craptalk.
Sigh.
Ugh. Crapatalk is like some hideous amoeba-like thing that is eating everything within its reach.
