...but what do you want from fanfic?

Ayway, to start it off, kathryn518's Invincible has recived a fourth chapter, putting it at ~110k. I've honestly forgotten what happens in it, but it came up on my FFn list and reading a few pages into the first chapter shows it to be of acceptable quality, so here it is.

HP/DC crossover apparently, though I don't know who "Nolan" is in that context with flying brick and adaptation powers (as in, a thing that hurts him once won't hurt him again.)

My first guess would be that it's actually the Nolan from here:

AKA Omni-Man, or Superman but [SPOILERS]. Check for a moustache.
Time for the new thread's first A Thing of Vikings post!

Quote:A much more potent and frustrating miss on Haddock's part came from his invention of the pantograph (from the Greek for 'all-writing'), when he would soon have all of the parts necessary for the creation of the printing press—which would languish in unrealized potential for more than a century and a half, eventually being realized by Hiccup's descendant, Kamikaze clan Frelsifrædi.  At the time Haddock created the pantograph, he already had the concept of identical production via stamping from his drop-press, along with molds and other forms for creating interchangeable movable type, and would be introduced to the concept of movable type itself from his visits to and trade with Zhōngguó within only a handful of years after his creation of the pantograph.
But instead of building the revolutionary printing press, he created the pantograph as a scribe's aid, as an extension of how things were done in his time rather than expanding outwards into new possibilities.  And the pantograph did change the rate at which books could be copied; a simple pantograph could be made in an afternoon by a competent carpenter or blacksmith, and allowed even illiterates to help with copying books simply by tracing text and diagrams.  But it did not change the method by which books were copied, as a printing press would have.  Books were still copied by hand, one page at a time.
But due to its simplicity, the pantograph quickly became the dominant form of text reproduction, a position it held for the next two hundred years.  There are arguments that Haddock's status as the creator of the pantograph alone pushed the creation of the printing press back by generations, as the more efficient text-copier directly challenged and threatened the supremacy of a device tied to Haddock's legendary reputation.

In Kappadokia, Sigurd pays a visit to the estate of Romanus Sclerus, one of his new neighbors, to demand gently but firmly request the return of some things the Greek gentleman borrowed in the wake of Maniakes' removal. Outside Cairo, at the Dragon Mail construction site, Hiccup demonstrates a new invention (see epigraph; see also: pantograph). Back on his new estate, Sigurd gets dragged into a much-needed discussion with Gunnar and Gudmund. In Vedrarfjord, Fintan is making himself useful to Hákon and Gunvor. Back in Cairo, Hiccup puts on a demonstration of strength, in the hope of forestalling future shows of force. In London, Magnus and Sigvatr discuss the ways in which the king is doing the Lord's work. Finally, in Höfn, Iceland, Mildew gives us more reasons to hate him, just before encountering something that could prove extremely dangerous...

You misspelled "PMMM/BLEACH". Hope this helps at least as much as my summary:

All over the Mitakihara MSA, Incubator terminals observe the events of the previous chapter, their guiding consciousness puts some pieces together, and the terminal stationed with Nonon Jakuzure makes a move. At the aparto where the Momoes live, Yoruichi sees that terminal and the results of its move. Returning to High Spirits and learning of the fallout from that move, Urahara dispatches the rest of the Asunaro away team to deal with the new-born Witch, then handles a call from Yama-jii Genryusai Yamamoto. Kyōko learns a few more things by listening and some more by watching. The remaining Incubator terminals in Asunaro observe a Gotei 13 scouting party and draw a logical conclusion from their field chatter, and from their lack of interaction with the party from High Spirits. Mami, one of that party, discusses the situation with Captain Ukitake Mr. Hitsugaya and surprises herself a little...

Vathara has finished his Eberron/SAO mashup, delightfully so.
In the new Bare Squadron: Ravager's Harvest chapter, we see that this version of Kara is measurably harder-edged than her prime-universe counterpart. Or maybe this is just what any Kara would be like in a full-fledged battle:

An Introduction To Dragon Biology, 17th Edition, Oxford University Press, 1793 Wrote:The draconic mating period is primarily instinctual, although that is not to say that dragons are completely ruled by their instincts during this time.  The mating period is triggered approximately two weeks before the Autumnal Equinox by hormonal changes; dragon populations living in the tropics often have idiosyncratic mating periods as a result of the region's reduced/eliminated seasonal cues. During the mating period, all sexually mature adults in a flock of sufficient size go into a mating frenzy for a period of six to nine days.  A variety of secondary factors play into the mating trigger, including nutrition levels, access to a suitable nesting site, and the size of the flock.  Below a certain threshold of any of these factors, the mating instinct effectively does not trigger for the affected dragons, beyond perhaps some pair-bonding and reduced levels of mating that will result in undersized clutches, if any eggs at all.

That's right, new A Thing of Vikings! At Al Jazīra Al-Khadrā, Viggo and Fishwings put pleasure before business. In the Kurfürstentum Köln Rathaus, Hiccup meets with Emperor Henry the Black. On Berk, Jonna contemplates one religion of her new neighbors, discusses politics with a member of the Old Tribes, and witnesses our epigraph in action. Back in Köln, Fishlegs and Heather take an initial meeting with the local rabbi, a meeting which looks like getting extended. In Glenfinnan, Alba, Kerr is on his last legs, possibly even his last elbows. On the Great Steppes, Drago prepares for a new kind of dragon-hunting. In Köln again, Hiccup and Henry discuss politics and religion in their own way, while Hiccup resolves to let his bud properly participate in the mating season; Toothless, for his part, his best is trying. And we close in Constantinople, on Sigurd's new estate, where he continues the discussion with Gunnar and Gudmund from last time and gets more than one additional surprise...

It's in the title of the fanfic. Nolan Grayson (Omni-Man) is from Invincible, the Image Comics series. He's a Viltrumite, basically evil Kryptonians meets Dragonball's Saiyans.
