Above, an elevator pitch for a crossover buddy-cop-style series.  Competitors are asked to provide an unexpected or unlikely pairing of two characters from anywhere in fiction or history as a crimefighting team. Explanatory glosses welcome but not required.

Hmmm, this is going to be interesting. Let me think.

He's a teenage boy who transforms into a superpowered man-child at the utterance of a single word.
She's an Air Force test pilot infused with the power of the Tesseract.

Together they are MARVEL-OUS!

<scene>: Nicholas Fury walks into a room, looking at a clipboard.
<Fury>: "Captain Marvel?"
<scene>: Two hands go up, and two voices speak simultaneously.
<Billy, Carol>: "Here!"
<scene>: Both stop, and slowly turn to stare at each other.
<Billy, Carol, in unison>: "Oh... that's just -"
<Switch to title screen>
<Title screen>: MARVEL-OUS!

Okay, I think this will work.

He was a bullied teen suddenly granted a superpower everyone else thought was lame, so he fell into edgelordism and minmaxed it into badassery.

Okay, three weeks is enough, though with a holiday in the middle I have an excuse. Competition is closed.

And I'm having a heck of a time deciding the winner... so I'm calling it a tie between the Captains Marvel, and Black Panther/Serval. Congrats Dragonflight and Star Ranger!
