I recognise that first olive tree - it's in Greece (maybe the isle of Crete?) and it's three or four thousand years old.
After looking it up, it seems I was right, even on the age range. The "al Badawi" olive tree in al Walaja is apparently thought to be older, but I suspect the locals would argue for their own in both cases.

Pretty sure we've already seen most of this batch's halloween pictures.
... T-Diddy isn't exactly wrong with his analysis.
And that son did what his mother asked.

<puts on pedantic hat> Re: that last... well, it's because V and U were originally the same letter. And some languages
do call it that -- French, for instance.

I've seen this one in action, but thankfully I have a solution to share, as I never did like licking my fingers when I'd been walking around in a public area touching things:
1: Find the end of the bag that is supposed to open
2: Hold it flat between your palms
3: Swirl them around in a hand-washing motion
That's it, the bag will open right up. Also works on garbage bags, and even while wearing gloves! Share it with your friends, family, random strangers at the store... everyone could use
one less aggravating thing causing stress in their life about now.
