One of the greats is no longer with us.

RIP Christopher Plummer
When Marc Okrand was translating Shakespeare into Klingon for Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country, he coached Mr. Plummer on how to pronounce the Klingon words.  Okrand recalled Plummer joking, "I understand you're here to teach me some Shakespeare."
Former Secretary of State under Reagan (previously and relatively briefly, Nixon's Secretary of Labor, then Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and then Secretary of the Treasury) George Shultz.  Age 100.

A Los Angeles Times article linked to by the Reuters article I linked to mentions:
Quote:In keeping with the diplomatic demeanor of a former secretary of State, he avoided direct criticism of Trump, but a burst of candor a few months before the 2016 election made his opinion of the future president clear: “God help us,” he told reporters.
RIP Mary Wilson, founding member of the Supremes

And she had just announced she was working on a solo project, too...
Larry Flynt of Hustler fame died at age 78
I hope he gets his 72 virgins
Now why would you do that to the poor guys?

Or girls. I try not to discriminate on gender.
Rowena Morrill, Artist (SF&F paintings, book covers).
RIP sculptor Arturo Di Modica, last Friday.

His most famous work has its own Wikipedia page.

Fang, I'm having to bite my damn tongue right now, part of me wants to cuss you up one side and down the other. I will settle for stating that when certain members of the left side of the aisle passed I did not cheer it, i would request that you respect the deceased and not be such an ass.

I'm not going to bite my tongue.

SilverFang01, this forum only has two rules, and "play nice" is one of them. The only reason I didn't call you on it sooner was because I didn't see it sooner.
Long and the short here, Folks... is that Reporting the death is not the issue. The issue was the editorialisation of the death being good.

However, while I personally found the person in question to be an insufferably egotistical blowhard, much like the most recent Ex President, Cheering or Jeering this is best taking to the appropriate forum... Politics.
RIP Bunny Wailer (nee Neville Livingston, aka Jah B.), last surviving member of The Wailers

He also helped invent the CD.
Unless I'm very much mistaken - I am very much mistaken. It's Murray Walker - the voice of Formula 1.

He's now calling races beteen Ayrton Senna, Gilles Villenneuve, Roland Ratzenberger and those who met their end in the atavistic endeavour of motorsport.

At 97, I can't be sad. That's a fine, good age to reach. We should be lucky to get that far with our faculties intaxt.
