That's...remarkably specific. Have you never seen Tourchwood? Listen to Gwen. Besides it's 'Proper English', with a Cardiff-based Welsh accent.

The wikipedia article is pretty decent, though you've probably already gone there. I live just across the sea from the place and get Welsh tourists coming in off the boat, but it's kind of hard to transiliterate the accent onto paper.
I've seen people try to do it with strong accents, and it can actually be pretty confusing to read. I tried doing with my own accent once and confused the bejaysus out of people. So maybe it might just be a good idea to mention the accent, rather than show it and let the reader fill in the blanks. Add a few localisms to give a flavour, but not so many that the reader can't figure it out.
I mean, the example given by the wiki is
"I come in and sit down,"
In place of
"I came in and sat down,"
And stuff like the word 'cracking' instead of cool or awesome
"That was a cracking story"
That sort of thing is a little easier to do, and a lot easier on the reader. Another idea would be to use obvious BE spelling.

Thanks Dartz. I'd read already about the speech program via the wiki, and I also saw the one specifically for the Cardiff dialect. The book may have been helpful, but Google says that I'm not allowed to see it. Stupid copyright BS.
