So. The Story So Far
10 days ago, a light fighter crashed just outside Kandor City. The pilot, Mackie Jaguar, was reportedly killed on impact. KCPD determined it to be a shoot-down and began a murder investigation.
Jet Jaguar, his 'sister', left in the middle of a parliamentary meeting, and hasn't returned to Venus since. Condolences were sent, but no *public* funeral plans made. She's gone fairly quiet, personally.
KCPD pulls together a case with two leads.
One of whom was found to have dissapearred. That's Denon Broadin. Boskone War Veteran. Former ARDG Master Chief. Who spent most of the last decade on welfare, unable to work.
The other was found dead in his apartment from a self-inflicted gunshot wound 5 days ago. Shinji Tanaka. Boskone War Veteren. Former SHIELD Lieutenant and Former ARDG engineer. Retired with honours. He ran Tanaka Mechanical Engineering out of Kandor.
Prior to this, Asagiri, - Jet's attempt at making a business building spacecraft - built a pair of prototypes for the ARDG, of a Mig-31 based cruiser-sized 'fighter' called the RF-155E. The program is cancelled when the program director - Jordan Waide - gets promoted to an administrative position, leaving a half-finished third prototype called Rebecca Brown on Frigga. Jet somehow manages to call in a favour to get it finished out.
Asagiri arranges for the Rebecca Brown to undergo refit at Damogran. The flight is attacked. Prize records confirm the attack, and capture of a single spacecraft. One Gaige Kisaragi gains a sticks-and-stones fighter kill with the prototype. A few days later, the finished Rebecca Brown reports to Kandor for trials, escorted by Lun.
Lun remains in orbit as the first phase begins.
KCPD announces a third suspect in the Mackie investigation, and a new line of inquiry being pursued.
Rebeca Brown is undergoing testing.
Jet is recorded leaving for Kandor aboard a motoroid. An hour later, the motoroid returns to Lun with her aboard. Within minutes, Jordan Waide launches from Kandor Spacebort in a personal shuttle - making a beeline for L5. Lun departs from Lunar orbit, and accelerates after the shuttle. The shuttle transmits a single distress call. A single anti-shipping missile annihilates the shuttle and its pilot. Before anyone can figure out what the shit just happened or why, she opens a channel.
"I've made a statement. When I find who ordered my brother killed, I will deliver my manifesto"
We're pretty sure it's Jet speaking in full Tarkin mode.
Lun then departs at high speed. With 5 missiles remaining in its tubes.
A shuttle departs from Stellvia to recover the wreck. Rebecca Brown is escorted to land by a pair of Woodsman UCAV's- Gaige Kisaragi may or may not have been arrested
So.
What in the seven hells just happaned? And why in the hell would someone publicly *ash* a SHIELD officer like that?
Serious theories or pertinent information only. Lets not get our tinfoil hats on too early.

People, I'm going to have to put my Troubleshooter hat on for a sec here: If you actually have pertinent information then for the love of Randomus Factoria think before you plaster it all over the Interwave. I can't go into a lot of detail, in fact I'm bending protocol saying this much, but we're currently working on the assumption that there's more to this than some ex-Boskones with a score to settle.
Please don't make it any harder for the Convention Security Service and our colleagues in law-enforcement to find out who murdered my colleague's little brother. Preferably before she does something really drastic.

Something drastic? That's what I'm afraid of. She's already operating totally beyond the pale of normal conduct.
Someone posted a video of what she was capabe of online last year. It looks like an uncensored Gauntlet feed or something - maybe a stream that was never publically released and if you watch it you'll know why. Gods know how they got a hold of it, but you can look it up if you want. Just to give you an idea of what she's capable of backed into a corner.
Just be advised, it's very NSFL.
Stopping her with force just isn't going to happen - really, it'll end up forcing her to dig the hole further - the only way out is if she's convinced to stop. The longer this goes on, the harder it is for her to go back, the harder it'll be.
There's one question you haven't asked, and it might be the key. Why would a pair of SHIELD agents go out to shoot Mackie down? Was this all started by a terrible accident?

As an eyewitness, I can confirm that the account posted by Needtocomeupwithaname is accurate.
Stellvia Corporation retrieved the wreckage of the shuttle in order to preserve the evidence of the attack and to ensure no civilian traffic would be endangered by it. We have moved the wreckage to a secure site on one of the corporation's bases, and will only turn it over to the Patrol.
Stellvia Corporation confirms that there were no survivors in the wreckage.
Now for the unofficial part of this post: StellviaCorp is decidedly unhappy with Lun's actions. However, Jet is a registered Troubleshooter and might have had legal reason to order this attack. Jet, if you're reading this, please submit your report ASAP.

You know, given who Jet's mechanic of record seems to be, this could be a multiple birds one stone type deal. Mackie being murdered would really get Jet's nose out of joint and it's NEVER a good idea to hurt kids around Attim, so combined with possible bad things in SHIELD this may have been capital-S Sanctioned from the Double-O as clean up and some closure for Jet.
At least you guys on the big white wheel don't have a body to deal with. Those anti-shipping missiles pack a wallop, and a direct hit like that will only leave carbon on a shuttle. I've...seen pictures of those not as lucky.

I know the video. It did the rounds a few months back after someone on Frigga decided to show the world how awesome their pet Mary-Sue was in response to some Venusian mudslinging. It's areal video of an attack on Frigga about 4 years ago.
EDIT: And Ninja'd by BB_Shotgun. Fair point. We'll see what comes out of the wash in the next few hours/days. If it was sanctioned, we'll hear about it.

Not a lot really, especially if she's been a troubleshooter. And I'd be inclined to believe Mamabear on that.
Nehallenia's the last one that's a noteworthy 'troubleshooter' style operation. That's the one where Quattro was recovered. It was nearly ten years ago. Otherwise she hasn't done anything particularly noteworthy or spectacularly. So either anything she's involved has been kept quite, or she's been on reserve. The Lun mission as possible one - actually, that makes a lot of sense if she's been working under the table.
Outside of GJ, it's sort of like she's struggled to find a niche.
There was a world record attempt, but it got annihilated by Ben Rhodes soon after once the handwavium restruction was removed.
She spent a few years as an instructor for The Roughriders to pay for her own private asteroid fortress to start a martial arts school.
She tried to open a combat training school and it worked for a few years, even getting Stellvicorp as a client, but the location was a killer and they've been struggling to keep going since a centre opened on the moon.
She's tried to start a spacecraft manufacturer, but Asagiri's hasn't really taken off. Wining that championship earned some sort of interest - it didn't take long for the big names to come up with an answer, and the 'nobody ever got fired for buying IBM' effect took over.
That and a note of censure from the federation hanging over her head. Some people don't want to deal with her now because of that.
Then along comes the millenium and after a year of wrangling she's jammed into the parliament. It's a bad idea and she has to battle a parliament that treats her like a white blood cell treats a bacteria. She gets a few things done, but not half as much as she needs.
Nothing she's done since then has really stuck well enough to live off - I mean really, before the Lun mission, all anyone out there really thought about her was the Boskone War, as a warrior.
Then her brother's killed.
Just as I try to get out, the pull me back in.
Guess she just finally snaps and goes evil.

I never liked her. I mean, I always suspected she had a cloudy Psychopass, even when the Queen had appointed her, but this is so much worse than I could've ever expected. She may be a cyber, but she's nothing like our Lady Mars at all. She just doesn't fit with us, does she?
And then you see videos like that and you have to ask if she's really the sort of person we want to allow in? There's no justice there. There's definitely no love. There's just violence. That's not what we're doing here. We want justice sure, but justice isn't arbitrarily blasting people out of the sky with a missile.

That's not really an unusual story for a lot of people who came up at the same time.
The thing you have to remember is that she didn't really appearr in Fenspace until what, March 2012? That's right before the Boskon war kicked off.
So really, someone with her abilities instead of having time to establish themselves and do what they want to do - she gets sorta shuffled towards the frontlines and told to fight and she does that. But then the war she's preparred for ends and you have to ask, 'now what'?
Anyone that was established before the war has at least some connections to either build on during the war, or help them get established - while people arriving afterwards aren't weighed down by the baggage, or waiting to be demobbed, so they hit the ground running in the post war victory boom, leaving the warriors behind struggling to find something to do.
They're like the PC's who joined the game during the 'war' arc, built their characters to match, and then got a kick when th GM just sort of called an end to it and now they had to figure out what to do next - only they just weren't geared up for it so they sort of struggle if they don't have any prior experience.
Jordan Waide was another one, who after years on welfare, just jumped at the chance to do what she was good at, I guess.

But that's no excuse.
It doesn't excuse scattering someone's atoms to the solar wind because you're pissed at 'em. There's a place for understanding and there's a place for justice - and there's a place for keeping the rest of the Universe safe from something capable of doing things like that to a human being.
I mean. If she cant control herself and can't be controlled, what other option remains?
It's harsh, but it's fair. It's justice.
That wasn't a killing. It was a unilateral execution. Sanctioned or not, it has no place in a civilised sociey. And neither does anyone who practices it.
This is the differences betwen order, and disorder.
Which do you prefer?

You can always tell the former yanks, can't you? That's not justice, that's punishment pron.
There's a big difference between a cold blooded killer, a hot-blood murder of passion, a reckless accident, and someone snapping under the stress of loosing a loved one. They're all different mindsets, invoking different crimes, with different punishements. Or, in some cases, treatment rather than punishment.
Honestly, put yourself in her shoes.
A lot of people could probably see themselves trying the same thing.
Some time with a fucking psychiatrist would be a better solution than an execution chamber.

But it won't being the dead back to life, either.
We can understand. We can sympathise. But we cannot condone.
We already have former criminals threatening to hack LEO databases, and actively supporting her in making a missile strike against whatever innocent settlement might be holding them.
A lot of us have been to war too, and we don't act like that? You don't see me going off on vigilante cruise, nor 90% of other veterans out there.

I'm still hoping someone will confirm this as an OP, like BB said.
Jet was always cool in her own way and if you've ever met her and actually talked with her you'd get it - like talking with your favourite band after a concert. I did a magazine piece with her on the Highway Star years ago and I never felt threatened. I mean, I knew she had all this power and strength but she was always so precise and light, like you knew she was taking a great effort to keep you safe - and then we were both laughing at Bakuon together like she was just another fan.
It's sad to see something like this happening. I hope there's more to it than what it seems.
If there isn't. I hope someone's able to help her.

Well, this thread degenerated fast......
Mamabear sort of unofficially confirmed Jet as being a troubleshooter, but we're not sure if this is a troubleshooter mission or not.
Space Patrol will not comment on ongoing investigtion. They are asking those responsible to make contact with a Space Patrol facility where she will be given fair opportunity to explain herself.
Hiroshima has revoked Lun's registration - apparently on the pretext of not listing the missiles as an armament.
Parliament has been convened on Venus for an emergency session, but they won't be able to do anything until there's a conviction.
Settlements have already blacklisted Lun from docking. The Island and Port Phobos are the main ones so far.
There's also the usual shocked posts from friends asking her why, and that it's not to late to come back.
Only people who haven't said anything are SHIELD..... which might just say a lot if BB_Shotgun is right.

Commando, there’re two different kinds of veterans of the Boskone war.
You’ve your people who saw enough of the elephant to say that, yeah they’ve seen war.
But at the end of the day they mostly did other things, from logistical support to medical or technical support. That’s most of you people out there.
You had your bad day.
You saw the elephant and it was as ugly as you thought it would be, but you didn’t really spend time with it. You know just enough to know it’s not something you never want to see again. You learned something about yourself, got the badge, then went and did other things.
Then you have your Jet’s, or your Garrets or Wolfboys who don’t just see the elephant – they live with it, day to day. Day after day, right at the teeth.
They’re the ones committing suicide at a rate two times higher than the average fen.
They’re the ones who still live with it every night. The Elephant’s in the living room.
This isn’t someone turning bad or going evil. This isn’t contagious boskonism.
Someone she saw as he brother just got killed, and she’s dealing with it the only way she knows how.
It’s a goddamn tragedy.
She doesn't need support on her mission.
She doesn't need a cell in a cold dark place.
She needs help before it gets worse.
Evans_01 (Ron/Hermione Shipper)
She rescued me on Jusenkyou. She saved our class.
By locking us in and destroying the door so nobody else could get to us.
I hope she's OK.

(Meta: I really amn't sure what I'm going for - except for a wide variety of natural reactions (Some support, some help, some commentar,y some vehement hatred) and maybe a look back on the historical context after 12 years, but it's a tough subject to put together. And it also is, kind of, what Jet's life looks like to outsiders - she never really sort of achieved major success, despite trying a lot of things. (Partly because I don't really want to unilaterally grant it, either, but that's a digression). Let's dare to do it and see what happens - even if it's a bit beyond my skill level to do it right after a week trying. Otherwise it gets boring again. There's another scene for the mainline with Wolfboy, but it can wait.)

::She doesn't deserve to be a citizen. Terminate with Prejudice.
The way Lun terminated Jordan Waide with prejudice? If we practice tit-for-tat, eye-for-an-eye revenge, pretty soon there'll be nobody left Up here.
We have our law-enforcement and judicial systems for reasons: to stop that kind of activity and to make us a society instead of a bunch of rugged individualists. I'll grant that this works better in L5 than it does in the Belt.
::Unless of course the unchecked Queen already knew about this. We really need a queen that can make Venus great....
Wasn't that Guiliani's line back in '08? We all remember how well that administration turned out - Noah still laughs whenever the Subversive Literature Act comes up in conversation.
::Hiroshima has revoked Lun's registration - apparently on the pretext of not listing the missiles as an armament.
:arliament has been convened on Venus for an emergency session, but they won't be able to do anything until there's a conviction.
::Settlements have already blacklisted Lun from docking. The Island and Port Phobos are the main ones so far.
If everybody treats Lun and Jet like outlaws before their day in court, then they'll become outlaws in fact, if only to survive.
StellviaCorp is not revoking Lun's landing and docking rights. We don't recommend that she come to any of our L5 facilities - there are too many people here, and one person with an itchy trigger finger can cause a lot of collateral damage - but we do have bases elsewhere in the system. However, if Lun does dock at a StellviaCorp base, we'll let the Patrol know that she's done so. We'll also ask to inspect her weapons systems.

I didn't mean like execute terminate. That's just as wrong. Just, maybe shes not right for the Millenium. Especially if she's actually guilty of something here. Even if she isn't - a sanctioned killing? That's the sort of summary justice that we don't want. That's not something a Millenium citizen should be doing.
There's no place for that sort of killing any more. The war ended 11 years ago.
She should be given the trial she didn't give.
>>"The Unchecked Queen"? You got somethin' against Her Immaculate Bitchyness, Miranda?
You have to admit, Queen Serenty II does rule fare more by Royal Decree than Serenity I - too much more. The whole point of parliament is to check the queen's power and she's been blowing through it. This whole Frigga situation is partly her fault after all.
---
Meta: Okay. I really, really suck at coming up at counter argument to Jet without the people making them seeming like utter morons. That's my own failing. There's stuff I'm trying to do, but I don't know if it's working. But the biggest problem Jet has with moving past 'Boskone Warrior' is that very few if any people are able to think of her as anything else. It's the label that's stuck. Its what most fen will think of when they think of Jet. If not that, then a little recklessness and speed. Maybe the biggest barrier to success is that she hasn't gotten to the point where people can believe, or at least envision her as being anything more than a martial artist or a warrior.
Jet's primary skill is as a troubleshooter - and that's just not needed often enough anymore to pay the bills. While anything else Jet tries to do, is already being done by someone else established..... so it's a peculiar sort of trap to be caught in.

I think we've just gotten the confirmation we didn't want.
Lun was tracked to the independant settlement Blue Haven by the SHIELD cruiser Steve Rogers. The Steve Rogers requested tha Lun stand down, and transit under escort to a nearby Great Justice waystation. A short radio exchange happened, in which this was recorded:
"You're investigating me for killing an enemy agent? Isn't that a bit like handing out speeding tickets at the Formula 1 world championship?"
Lun attempts to rush past the Steve Rogers. Steve Rogers moves to block, giving Lun the option of either opening fire, or standing down, obviously expecting the first. Her Captain lays it right out on the table, hoping the prospect of exchanging fire with a SHIELD cruiser and everything that comes afterwards might be enough
Lun immediately opens fire on Steve Rogers using her forward machineguns, damaging Steve Rogers' port engine. The Steve Rogers is obviously caught completely by surprise having not expected the bluff to be so quickly called, and attempts to turn to engage, but Lun has already flow past. A parting shot with her aft guns leaves Steve Rogers listing and out of control.
It took Steve Rogers four hours to repair, by which time Lun had long departed.
It feels wrong. But the facts just speak for themselves.
On the one hand, it seems like Jet feels like she's doing her duty - on some level. It sounds like she thinks she's still fighting the Boskone. Lun could easily have blown Steve Rogers out of the sky with just as little warning - but she didn't so she's still acting with restraint.
But at the same time she's going upriver in a big way with this Gambit
It feels like rewatching The Wounded in live action.

We have someone who's just blasted a SHIELD agent out of the sky, because she thought she was working for the Boskone and killed her brother - and someone else thinks it's a good idea to send another SHIELD cruiser to kindly ask her why and if she'd y'know, maybe like to stop pursuing whatever case she's working on.
Put yourself inside her head. Unlike whomever sent that cruiser out there.....
She's takes the shot, just incase, but is still level headed enough to not just blast the ship out of the sky - just in case.
Just enough to get away and carry on with whatever mission is important enough to be worth shooting a SHIELD cruiser.

And it take exactly five minutes before someone's already defending the indefensible, just because they're 'one of us'. Fandom. Fandom never changes.
She's unilaterally killed someone, criminal or not. And then opened fire on legitimate law enforcement.
If this had been anyone else, the Boskone bells would ringing loud and clear.

We just found out two days ago that she's possibly been an active troubleshooter for the last ten years or more. We probably don't have half the relevant facts here.
The only people who do are onboard Lun. And whatever they've been told, it's enough to convince them it's worth opening fire on a SHIELD cruiser.

It's possible they're just unwitting pawns. Or been sold a bill....
We don't know all the facts.

This is why the foundation of any society is a common legal system that will determine the facts of the case. And not just blast her out of the stars.
And which can judge the facts and authorise acts such as that in cases where it is clear that the individual responsible cannot be stopped by any other means.

There's always a relevant TNG episode. Especially when you think of the solution they came up with - send someone she trusts to ask her to step down.

Most of her known acquaintances, and her partner, have already been contacted by just about the same and are already saying the same basic thing. Please come to your senses, stop, and talk with someone before it goes too far.

In all fairness, a Zig Medal and clusters for actions in combat against the Boskones earns Jet some benefit of the doubt. I think Tagbar's basically right: Was this in any way a sensible thing to do? No. Was it evidence of anything more than Jet being the hot-headed, impulsive pain in the arse who we all put up with anyway because her heart's in the right place? Also no.

The problem there is that - as far as I know - none of us have actually talked with Jet or Lun. We can talk with their friends and family until we're blue in the face, but all that does is let those friends know that we're worried.

>>In all fairness, a Zig Medal and clusters for actions
Let's actually take a close look at this. A quick military history of Jet Jaguar for those who care..
Boskone War.
Serenitycon:
Rallied the Engle Gruppe. Took out anti-shipping missiles, by hand. Helped escort convoys fleeing the Convention to Gnarlycurl. Earned a Zig Medal for that. There's a lot of argument about this one.
Kentucky Incident.
Helped local authorities deal with a rogue mech, apparently routing out a Boskone presence. May have been her first TS op. Very little otherwise is known about it, just that she was present as an independent consultant.
Jusenkyou:
Outran her support. Discovered the trap and outran it. Then survived more than 2 days alone, unsupported in a Boskone Mad's research station taking on Berserkers and worse until linking up with Attim after she disposed of Rosebottom. Also a source of one of the more intimidating photographs of her.
The Steelyard:
Your Standard Asteroid Liberation mission. Led to the recovery of the only surviving Barbary-Class Boskone ship. Would later grow into one of the largest mines in Fenspace. The Panzer Kunst Gruppe, and anyone involved in the mission, are still receiving prize money from it to this day.
Shipwreck Island
Engel Gruppe infiltrated Boskone Shipyard undetected for over 12 hours. Mined every goddamned ship in the place, along with plenty in construction and detonated them at once. Along come the Roughriders to mop up the rest. Ballsy, considering how heavily armed the place was. More silverwear.
Boskone Prime:
Engel Gruppe Took down the main defensive grid, while the Kammers rescued the Professor as a distraction.
262 Messerchmidt
Boskone fighter production base. She apparently took on and defeated an entire squadron of fighter aircraft. Single handedly. There's probably more to that.
Ad to that at least two dozen more Convoy actions, rescue operations, thionite interdictions and escort missions. One apparently involved a handwaved Dalek.
Post War.
Nehallenia.
In hindsight, probably a Troubleshooter mission. Standard Thionite interdiction. Misses Naoko Sato. Captures Quattro – one of Agatha Clay's. One of the first survivor accounts of her in action, from a local Gliesbie who panicked and froze just in time to watch her friends get utterly obliterated. Sato or Quattro may have been the true target here.....
The Metaverse Incident.
Another TS mission. Friends of hers developed The Metaverse – former members of the Generos maintenance department.. They got in with an investor who turned out to be Boskone. The Boskone used it to train and brainwash the Wolkenritter.. They also tried to use it to destroy Genaros itself – saving the station meant letting the Wolkenritter escape. Apparently, she was winning the fight at the time.....
The Dreadnought.
Stopped a suicide drone aimed at Inner Haven station. With one kick.
Operation Starlight Breaker.
On call for Operation Starlight Breaker, covering the Atalante region. Was one of the fastest responder to an alert, usually alongside the Engel Gruppe but sometimes alone. Took part in at least thirteen interdictions, was first on scene five times, and on one occasion, was the only fighter on scene, against all four of them.
The Buster Corps.
Unleashed her inner Nonoriri against some unwitting Zwilnik's annoyed at a Roughrider's Pet-Project interrupting their badness. Using drone Zigs, she decimated them.
Triax Attack on Dragon Wagon II.
Almost certainly not a Troubleshooter mission. One of the biggest bounties in Fenspace history. Recovered a Triax executive responsible for performing involuntary psychosurgery on a Stellviacorp employee. And took on an entire squadron of Triax bombers, single handedly, and won.
Mercenary Attack on Frigga.
UBA hires a group of Mercenaries to go in hot on Frigga, telling them it's a standard assett recovery by force mission. 50 crack mercenaries are reduced to 5 in the space of about 2 minutes. Actual video footage of her in action was released. Survivor accounts are equally horrifying. (That's some true Gunnm-grade Ultraviolence). The video was linked above.
The possible Secret Agent.
Arcadia. Buying and handwaving an old Soviet Piece of Junk and turning it into a flying Glomar Explorer. Surveying the Titanic. Then Surveying Arcadia, landing under the Federation's nose claiming to be a science expedition. And digging up 8 tons of Gate Metal. Someone leaked it to Maico Tange, and the shit hit the fan. The Federation was pissed enough to get off their ass and actually issue a motion of censure. But if not for a special someone, nobody would ever have known.... whether that's a true troubleshooter mission or something more 'outside' I don't know.
- I dunno about you, but that's a fairly impressive list. And that's a short summary off wikipedia.
So yeah. Chances are there is far more to this than we're seeing publically.

>because her heart's in the right place?
Thus paving the road to hell, OMT
Or you can look at things without rose tinted goggles.
Boskone War.
[iJusenkyou:[/i]
Outran her support. - Because she was told to stop in case there was a trap. Which she then set off. Got two of her people killed. May have murdered a group of low level technicians who tried to surrender. But hey, we also beat Attim to Rosebottom and blew him up, so it's OK.
Shipwreck Island
Many of those working at Shipwreck Island were not volunteers..But hey, she stopped enemy cruisers being built, so it's OK.
Post War.
Nehallenia.
Panzer Kunst Gruppe. Against Gliesbies who've never held a gun. A complete seal-clubbing at best. A ruthless overmatch at worst. But hey, we captured Quattro, so it's OK. Even if we missed Naoko Sato because she went off half-cocked to rescue her partner.
The Metaverse Incident.
One of her friends went 'missing' rather than face the music for his crimes. But hey, she saved the station, so its OK.
Operation Starlight Breaker.
Often the first on-scene because she wouldn't wait for anyone else to formate up. It's a miracle she didn't get herself, or anyone else, killed. Which arguably, drangged out the Wolkenritter incident for months. She was able to fight them off, but couldn't finish them. But she did it all by herself, so it's OK.
Triax Attack on Dragon Wagon II.
Banned from one settlement. And given an official warning for interfering with a Bounty Hunter – aiding an escape from one Hunter, just to deliver the target to her Partner instead. But she fought off three bombers single-handedly, so it's OK.
Mercenary Attack on Frigga.
There's a reasonable force standard for a reason. This gets disturbingly close to the line. But hey, tt's her own home, so it's OK.
The possible Secret Agent.
Allowed some of her people to stand on the deck of the Titanic. The mind-numbingly stupid risk that was was noted by James Cameron – Titanic came within moments of claiming three more lives. Oh. And completely ignoring Federation law because it suited her. But that's OK too because what she did suited everyone else.
Oh, and apparently, they had a reactor fire on Frigga recently too – like a miniature Chernobyl. But that's fine because nobody died, and everyone followed procedures.
Not to mention antagonising the most unantagoniseable mundane country there was just to grab some 'cool' videos.
So, we've someone with a history of going off half-cocked, on a whim, with no real thought to the consequences. Or outright ignoring rules and regulations when it suits her, just because she thinks she right in the moment. She screws up. Sometimes people get hurt. She fixes it.
And it's alright because she's always able to unfuck the situation in the end, even if everyone misses out on the bigger prize because of it.
You let her keep getting away with it, and you're enabling her....
And this is the result.

Agreed. There's been little to no new News to do anything more than rampant speculation and barking. Closest thing we have is the weekly Tokyo Gazette due tomorrow, which apparently will have several names from Frigga in it.

One gets the feeling that a lot of chickens are coming home to roost.

So, yeah. Long record. Folks upstairs apparently think she did right most of those times.
If someone I trust as much as I do Jet came to me and told me she thinks someone in SHIELD is dirty?
I'd be checking my backdoors into SHIELD's internal affairs database. Because she's probably right.

I'm not going to confirm or deny whether Jet said something along those lines to my boss, whether my boss trusts Jet that much and especially not whether we have any backdoors into SHIELD's internal affairs database.
But nobody wanted to believe that someone high up in the Sammies could be dirty either, and look what happened there. And since it's going to be in the next press bulletin anyway, I may as well tell you that we've obtained a comms intercept and have confirmation that Jet followed proper procedure; the shuttle was ordered to shut down their engines and submit to boarding and refused to comply despite repeated warnings. And for something that small, "disabling fire" means shooting at the part where there's only an 80% chance of destroying it outright.
Oh, and @Commando_77? I'd be really quite interested in comparing Jet's Boskone War service record with yours. Nobody is saying that Jet isn't capable of doing some incredibly dumb shit at times, least of all a man who once lost two gallons of paint off his ship's hull and disrupted RTE television transmission to most of County Antrim at a crucial moment in the snooker because she wasn't looking where she was going. But a large percentage of the incredibly dumb shit she's done has been in the name of saving innocent lives, and in my book that entitles her to a bit of fucking slack.

It's possible. (It isn't likely that Clay was the target, by the simple fact that Jet and Agatha are - as far as we know - both still alive.) Its more likely that this was a thionite mop-up that happened to have a Big Name Boskonian on site at the time.
::Oh, and @Commando_77? I'd be really quite interested in comparing Jet's Boskone War service record with yours.
Please, let's not go there. Jet's public war record is more illustrious than Haruhi's, because Haruhi never actually went on a mission. Nobody disputes Haruhi's contributions to the war effort.
