Ninja/Dark, actually, with a strong Naruto flavor to the backstory that carries over possibly more than the amount of RP I've been able to get with her so far would normally justify.
Personality integration -seems- smooth... for now... --

The Hunterminator

Quote:
Hunterminator -- Yukiyo (?? Fire/Fire Blaster, Moderate Casual RP)
Hunterminator -- Yukiyo (Lvl 25 Fire/Fire Blaster, Casual to slightly serious RP depending on situation, No mental changes, but Yukiyo's mannerisms and habits are deeply entrenched in the subconsious mind and require concious effort to prevent)
Acyl -- Noonlighter (18 Energy/Fire Brute, Moderate RP, Strong overlay, at violent odds with the player's own personality. Player is becoming increasingly violent and cruel - which terrifies him. Player is attempting to fight the change.)
For the guy Noonlighter beats up in the one story chunk I posted:-
xXMasterBlasterXx (50 Fire/Fire Blaster, Casual Powergamer, Random costume. No personality overlay, though player seems drunk with newfound power. Short-lived reign of terror ended by Acyl, who he is now incredibly scared of.)
If I ever get round to writing more, our hapless blaster friend will appear again.

Peggy Schroeck on Bob's Looney Toons account -- Stiletto (1 Claws/Regen? Scrapper/Stalker? Newbie, no personality effects beyond her own, normal persona)
Scrapper. She's a hero. If I get a chance to log in tonight I'll activate her and get the correct power set.
And may I note that for some reason Peggy seems to have a fascination with the "Bone" trim pieces when designing costumes. This worries me.

Badb is MA/Regen Scrapper, and was level 28 or 29 at the time. In my second post, she uses a power that she could not possibly have at that level, but it's a plot point, not an oversight. [Image: eyes.gif] And, uh, sorry it was so long. Got carried away.

Okay, I just ducked in and took a look. Here's the proper info:
Mistress Stiletto
L2 Claws/Regen Scrapper
Has Pocket D VIP Pass, Jump Pack and as yet unspecified choice of Sands of Mu or Undead-Killing Axe
And this brings up an interesting question... How many of the Changed have Pocket D VIP Passes in their power list? Has anyone tried using it? Stiletto's is currently inactive, because she's not high enough level to use it -- I think you need to be 3rd or 4th? -- but the rest of the Changed certainly are...

Going into more detail on Brightsky's powers, both as a resource and to submit them for approval:
Her fundamental ability is a mutation which lets her nervous system set up some kind of quantum resonance effect that alters the way certain masses of boson behave within its area. IE, she can make gravity sit up and do tricks, without needing to worry about the energy actually involved, but only within about a millimeter or two of her skin.
This distance used to be greater, and during her stint as a blaster was further increased by a set of redirecting gauntlets, but the injury that knocked her back to Level One caused minor brain damage and threw off her control a bit. Acyl has suggested that the way concept characters work vs. 'generic builds' might override that, but, while the power boost is attractive, I'm a little leery of its being, mm, too easy.
Her other real advantage is that she's got an intimate knowledge of the history and practice of the superheroing - her paternal grandparents were two of the founding members of the Dawn Patrol, her father followed in their footsteps, and her mother was the latest member of a line of heroines predating Statesman himself. She knows this stuff the way a kid who grew up camping in the back of his paleontologist dad's Range Rover in the Gobi would know dinosaurs. Sure, she doesn't have that rocket science degree, but she's certainly qualified to pass the tools for a surprising number of disciplines.
I haven't really yet decided whether or not she calls Statesman 'Uncle Marcus', but her background is such that it wouldn't be surprising.
Naturally she knows how to fight. Not, it is true, so well as the archetypical 'Martial Arts' scrapper, but well enough to realize exactly how useful the ability to fall sideways, or have different parts of her body weigh different things at exact moments, can really be.
Her glasses are neither black, nor white - they're mirrored (in game, too, even, except the game doesn't offer mirrored wraparounds, so.) They're also the chassis and heads-up-display for a nano-miniaturized combat computer of truly noteworthy ability; abilities include radar, infrared, low-light and ultrasonic scanning, threat marking, navigational displays, and probably several other tricks I'm too zonked to think of at the moment.
When she's pushing herself to create a defensive shell, the, um, event horizon of her personal gravatic playground is intense enough to turn any molecule that wanders into it into a figurative Klein Bottle, which is why she glows in the dark. It doesn't actually make the air denser or increase the amount of heat it holds, just... *vague hand wave* makes it act wierd, and when she's concentrating on a specific part of her body (like making her boot 'fall' onto a particular thug's face), it gets even wierder... essentially, imagine that a thin layer of air around her is turning into a gas-discharge lamp.
And, oh, yeah, she can fly. Quickly, or slowly, or anywhere on a graduated scale between the two, and also evade at speed.
One last thing to consider: aside from falling, the game does not model the effects of inertia on damage. Her combat style most definitely does.

Lady Nogitsune is an honest-to-Amaterasu Nogitsune, or POWERFUL dark fox spirit currently inhabiting a Paragon Protector based off of her previous host, Kyoko Yamashira/QB Kitsune. As a mystical being, she has access to a LOT of magical lore.
Her powers will have a lot of the standard effects, but look like she has more powers due to varying "graphics."
Most of her Dark Miasma powers can be described as Sakura Blizzards as well as the "Standard" graphics. Darkest Night is just as effective as a cloud of swirling cherry blossoms as a cloud of murk. Enough flying floral detritus can slow motion just as well as syrupy stygian energy. Her Fearsome Stare can cause either pure terror or paralyzing sexual inadequacy, as can Petrifying Gaze. Her Ghost Widow patron powers produce a traditional "foxfire ball" effect. Shadow Fall includes both standard "blend into shadows" stealth as well as an area-effect "henge" into a sort of "don't notice me, I'm just a normal person" effect.
Her minions are kunoichi. In-game, their normal appearance is explained away as disguising themselves to appease Lord Recluse's whim about Ninja mms. When they drop their disguises IRL, they appear totally different, which will confuse the GIFTers in that battle.
Nogi's Genin appear as teen "Naruto"-style kunoichi: Anime Japanese ethnicity [I.E., chromatic hair, and too voluptuous for the normal Japanese phenotype] with mostly practical, and slightly sexy, gear for their outfits. Their names are Uzumaki, Shima, and Hebi, with appropriate visual cues in their costumes. Spirals, Stripes, and Snakes, respectively.
Nogi's Jounin appear as more traditional kunoichi: early-to-mid 20's Anime Japanese women in Ninja Scroll or Dead or Alive-inspired outfits. Their names are Akai and Kuroi, wearing red and black, respectively.
Nogi's Oni, Kareshi, appears as a graceful, willowy Japanese woman in a flowing fire-patterned kimono wearing a fox mask. She is the most glad to be rid of the disguises, as she was HIDEOUS as an Oni.

This one of the Things that I'd be afraid to use IRL. Who knows whether or not the game effects are due to "Supers Physics?"
In game, it is a massive rad debuff and DOT. It one-shots minions and puts a hurting on AVs. The real reason it's used in the LRSF is because of the rad debuff.
It's not an "I Win" button, but it is an "I'm ahead on points, buddy" button.
Too bad if Nogi lets slip that she has one, the US Gov't will likely think "briefcase tactical nuke" and overreact appropriately.

I just couldn't leave well enough alone.
Notes:
Badb is lousy at keeping track of time. The third part of Badb's story occurs a week or two after, um... 'Origin Day'
Move-related stress has caused me to forget who suggested Ghost Widow would lie low for a couple of weeks to let the l33t kids 'get it out of their systems' before demonstrating real villainy, and wondered whether Badb would run to San Fransisco to fight her. Sorry I can't credit you by name, and hell, yes!
'Jim Carlson' is named after a former boss of mine, but there's no other resemblence. Even if he did threaten to fire me twice. (I eventually quit.)
I completely forgot to have Jim threaten to strap Badb into a high-energy particle accelerator and see if she could survive that, but that's ok. Neil Gaiman already did that in Eternals.
Bumping the thread? Check.
jpub/Paradoxe - Australis (late 20's PB, no squid form, casual RP), real persona dominant.

You can assume that the above happened, but I'm not interested in writing much of anything.--
