Okay, as mentioned in the other thread, if there's anything you folks want me to draw...well, have at it. =)

No rules, as such. But I'll just ramble on a bit about what I can or can't do.

WHAT:

I'm most comfortable doing portrait-style images, as opposed to fight scenes or anything seriously dynamic. However, that's just what I'm
comfortable with. I'll consider any scene requests or even mini-comics - after all, I'm trying to improve my skills, which means pushing the boundaries.

Likewise, most of the time I draw characters in simple poses, with minimal background to the picture. Once again, though, if you've got something more
difficult, I will probably try. I just don't guarantee success. If it proves too hard for me, I'll settle on
some sort of compromise.

By default, I'm talking single-character images here. It occurs to me folks might want pictures with two or more characters in them...that's tricker.
If they're just standing by each other or something, then it pretty much counts as two drawings. No problem there, but it'd take longer, obviously. If
the two characters are interacting in some fashion, then it falls under the 'scene' and 'complex pose/background' clause - ie. I'll try,
but I can't promise.

WHO:

City of Heroes/City of Villains characters! Now, if you'd like me to do something else...I can, but
there's a few reasons I'm doing CoH characters. One, I know these are characters folks care about. Two, I'm doing this as something for the
supergroup and our little community. And three...

...if I'm drawing a CoH character, I can have reference images! Screenshots! Which is what I'll need from you. =D

Ideally these should be full body shots, though if you quite specifically don't want a full body drawing, then
anything goes. Either in-game shots or screenies from the character selection/tailor screen, it doesn't matter - but preferably with good lighting and the
higher texture settings (in graphics options).

Either post screenshots in this thread, or e-mail me - acyl84 ((at)) gmail ((dot)) com, minus the anti-adbot bracketing. I'd actually prefer if requests
are posted in the thread, so it's all together and so everyone else knows what's being worked on, but if
that's impossible for whatever reason, e-mail.

WHERE:

The finished images I've posted in the other thread are hosted on Photobucket, and are all 786 pixels in height. That's because of the
maximum image dimensions for a free Photobucket account. As it happens, though, this is pretty close to my preferred final image size anyway.

However, given that the raw images I work on are much larger than this, I can
provide larger versions if you want them for printing purposes, editing, etc. I can also (usually) provide seperate black and white lineart for any coloured
image.

Or if you want something in black and white, no colour at all - that's fine, in fact it's quicker for me,
obviously...and my colouring skills aren't really great anyway. That's why I'm practicing. =)

Finally, images will be posted on the boards as I finish them. I beg your patience if I get too many requests, if I get busy with other things, so on, so
forth.

The 'Under Eye' marks were originally meant to resemble Alita's from Battle Angel Alita, but that was the closest I could get to them...

Edit: Erg, details keep popping up to me: Brahela is physically around 13-14, and doesn't usualy stand in one place much. I imagine she would pose for a picture to send to one of her friends like Mrs. Willow, and would probably have her favored Ice Spear in her hands, if you can manage...

I hope you don't mind that I make a request even though I've been unable to actually PLAY City of Heroes for a while. And I promise to everyone, I'll start playing again as soon as I'm through this ridiculously busy period.
As for request specifics, well, Yukiyo flies almost constantly and usually has a wide and pretty much child-like smile on her face. Mmm... could you draw her excitedly waving to someone?

Thank you. As for the face, Yukiyo was supposed to be a dark magical girl. You know the type, dark, grim, merciless. Except, I couldn't roleplay her
like that for even a week and her personality evolved to the childish engine of destruction she is now. Anyway, she was supposed to be grim and serious and all
that and I picked the face with that in mind, and I've considered that to be her 'official' face ever since.

I should probably change it someday.

How do you feel about hugs? Because a picture of Mirami hugging Alexis would be nice, I think. I can't really come up with anything else at the moment...

(Well, unless you'd be willing to try Alexis' doujinshi cover. But that might be kind of pushing it. '.' )

Of course, anything involving Alexis is kind of contingent on me deciding what I actually want her costume to look like, since I've never been entirely
satisfied with it. -.- And I'd probably have to con other people into taking screenshots for me, since higher texture settings would kill my computer...

Effects, Depth of Field, etc. come to mind).

At the very least, a screenshot needs to be clear enough for me to see the colours and costume pieces used. If I need visual details for a specific piece - like, say, all the grooves and fiddly bits on tech armor pieces - I can always peer at the character creator.
If you happen to catch me in-game, I can also take shots myself, but for obvious reasons of logistics and scheduling, that's not something that can be relied on. =)
Status: Finished Brahela, as requested by Niteflier. Image post in the other thread. Basic lineart (pencils) for Yukiyo complete, will continue work tomorrow.
For reference, all the stuff I've done with the tablet so far breaks down into four steps - 1) Basic pencil lineart, 2) inking, 3) flat colours, 4) shades. ...the second bit, inking, actually takes the longest, so if I'm feeling punchy later I might try something without the dark lines...

Sorry, Morganni, I forgot. Hugs should be fine - mainly the trick for poses is whether I can find suitable reference images, and that's not difficult to source. Naked twister or something would be rather more difficult.

As for, er, ecchi... no, I don't really have a problem with drawing stuff slightly fanservicy, as most of my female drawings probably demonstrate. And, er, to put it diplomatically, fanservice reference images are easy to find too.

I don't do flat out pr0n, though. Not because I'm uncomfortable, more like I don't actually know how to draw fine details of anatomy, including genitalia. An old friend of mine whom I've traded art with for years insists that the best way to learn such things is to draw pr0n, but I haven't tried his, er, method yet.

Niteflier: Yes, I do have a PayPal account, acyl84 ((at)) gmail ((dot)) com - same as my regular e-mail. It really isn't necessary though. I'm benefiting from the practice (and challenges), plus I don't use PayPal to purchase things very often.

Current Status: Yukiyo picture for Hunterminator complete, post in other thread. Emerald Blast picture next. No sketching yet, but I've checked out the screenshots, and that's definitely doable. As requested, probably 3/4th view portrait-style, face towards camera (which is good, I've not actually done a real close up detail job so far).

Picture Request 1. I would love a picture of Marcus with Space Mage. Doesn't have to be full body shot, torso shot is fine. Possibly standing back to back?
Marcus tipping his cowboy hat? Or however you think the two of them would interact is fine too. I will post a screenshot of him as soon as I find one.

Corrupted Flame... honestly, I'm not sure. I've looked through that archive. The trouble is most of the costumes are very detail heavy (which is doable, but...more fiddly), except for the red bodysuit one - but you've already got commissioned artwork of that. I'll have to think about what can be done. I'll figure out something, but I got nothin' for now.

Status: Finished Emerald Blast picture, as requested by Sofaspud. It's not immaculate, and I got lazy towards the end, but I'm very pleased with it - which is rare. Post in other thread, as per usual.
Currently, no other sketchwork in progress. After this one, I think I need a break! This was a doozy.

Feel free to do what you want. I have artwork of ALL her costumes now (except one, and I mean to change it, its asstastic -_- ) and I like to give artists

Mmm. I wouldn't mind something of Misao... for an image, take Rei Ayanami, set her under Mitarashi Anko for a couple of years of ninja training, and stand

For clothes... think leather jeans and boots, sleeveless Bleach captain's jacket (inverted colors, black coat with white diamonds and trim) over a mesh
top... something like that. Colors dark blue, black, sky blue.

I think I've heard that advice before. Never really put it to the test, as I thought I should learn how to draw *hair* first, and I've ended up having other things that I have more drive to do than drawing.

The image I have in mind doesn't exactly involve *anatomy* as such, but... Well, I'll just email you with the details, and you can decide whether you're wililng to try it or not. (If not, I'll probably still be trying to get a comission of it from somewhere... the problem is finding an artist who does comissions who'll do ecchi. Only one I know of is John Joseco, and the way he draws faces... just doesn't seem like it'd fit the image.)

I had a long post typed out, but Yukuboard was a bitch and deep-sixed all of it. O_o
Here's the short version, pardon if it's faintly abrupt. =(
While I do more or less work my way down the queue, fair warning - I won't necessarily complete pieces in order. That's because some are more complex than others. For example, I haven't quite figured out how to do the hat tipping for Marcus just yet. The back-to-back with Space is fine, but a cowboy hat is a complex shape, and so is the tilting hand. I can do it, but I'm not sure I can make it look good. I haven't tried it out; if I can't nail it after a few sketches, I'll leave the hat on. But for this reason, this drawing may take a while.
ECSNorway's request isn't based on any in-game costume. As a result, this is pretty much on back-burner - I'll need to sit down and hunt up good source images for Rei, Anko, a Shinigami captain, and create a scratch colour palette for the image (no screenshot to sample). It'll be done at some point - shouldn't be too hard - but I dunno when.
Current Status: Initial pencil lineart for Corrupted Flame complete. Basic lineart for Bella + Jackie (duo picture) also done, but I might need to give Jackie hea----I mean, give Jackie a new head. Haven't decided. Chances are I'll ink it and see how it looks then. These will likely be finished next.
Very rough pencils for Morganni's request, unsure if I'll actually use this as the final lineart. Need to sketch the top and hair onto the figure and see how the fabric hangs. Rough pencils for MicroShade's request (not on the boards, asked in-game). I am certain this will be the lineart, but the figure is currently missing most details.
