This came up the other night while discussing changes to the salvage storage setup in the base. Namely, while we have many, many Back Alley Brawler Gloves,
Statesmasks, and Hamibags, our entire stock of Recluse Masks appears to have vanished.

Acyl mentioned he heard someone say they'd accidentally picked up an entire stack of salvage when they went to get one at some point(due to that being the
glitch caused by having more salvage than the rack can hold), so I'm just sticking this here in case anyone's seen(or heard of) where the masks may
have gone due to the abovementioned glitch.

Either that, or someone's stealing them to get an easy victory in their Patron arc redside. Tongue

That would be Fren.

I'll try and get on tomorrow and put them back

I assume we now have room for those masks somewhere in the base?

We have minimal room for them. I remember having just filled the empty racks back up with Brainstorms on Emet after converting all the salvage, and the someone
needed a States' mask. I did the same thing there, pulling the whole stack out (I might have said that to Acyl at some point), and since I couldn't fit
them all in, I had to disperse them via the rest of the other racks. As of about now, I think we have maybe 3 to 5 open spaces. If there are any Brainstorms in
the racks though, do please take them out so you can put the Masks in, the Brainstorms are used for making random salvage, or not-so-random (Specify rarity
and/or Tech/Magic origin) salvage for more than one per conversion.

Seeing as how I've been avoiding the racks since ... possibly I12, certainly I13, can someone clarify just how it is they work now?

Specifically: are the Enhancement racks affected? What sort of limits are there? And what, as a conscientious considerate SG member, should I be doing with
regard to the racks to make sure I don't mess things up? (since it sounds like they're touchy these days)

The Enhancement bins remain unchanged. The only difference is now the Base Salvage Racks can only hold 30 pieces of Invention or Event Salvage. The only rack
that is precarious is the one by the Vault and the Invention table, full of the Halloween salvage. If you need to get a piece of Halloween salvage from that
rack, be sure to only click on the salvage (and thus only take one) rather than to drag-and-drop (And take the whole stack) the salvage from the bin to your
inventory. As it stands, the rack is filled over capacity, so any salvage removed from there can not be put back in. What went wrong was, both me and Sweno it
seems, drag-dropped the salvage absentmindedly, and then passed out the piece to whoever it was needed it, and then trying to replace the stack, the container
would not accept it, so we 'had' (rather than just keep a hold on it) to disperse the salvage amongst the racks.

Ankh's already explained it, but just to be absolutely clear what's going on...enhancement bins have not changed.
For salvage racks:
1) The salvage racks previously held Base and Event (ie. Halloween) salvage. As of the recent Issue update, they are now meant for Invention salvage instead, though they still take things like Halloween stuff and Candy Canes.
2) The storage capacity of each rack has been reduced to 30. Previously it was much greater.
3) This means that if a rack had, prior to the changeover, 97 pieces of salvage in it...the current storage capacity will read as 97/30. In this example, stuff can be removed from the rack, but nothing can be placed back in until the contents of the rack fall below 30.
4) So if you accidentally remove a whole stack of salvage from an over-capacity bin, it's not going back in.
...
Ankh's pointed out the dangers of accidentally dragging and dropping. I'll also note that, IIRC, if you double click on a stack of salvage in a storage bin...I think that also grabs the entire stack. So you need to quite deliberately click once to take a piece, I suppose.

I think everyone should /petition 'fix salvage racks, please, 30 pieces is far too small' every time they log in.
