Rob noted with some relief that her security pass hadn't been revoked yet, regardless of her current 'medical condition'. As such, she was able to
get into the Hollows without incident, and from there, it was easy enough to get out of Cherry Hills and into the quieter, abandoned parts of the zone.

She knew that her sisters would freak out, and likely use the Legendary computers to track her down, but dammit, she wasn't going to lose it and try to
kill herself, or something equally stupid. Mir was too worried to realize that, and while Ifrit knew Rob as well as she knew herself, there were times when the
fey succumbed to her mothering instincts, and that was the last thing the transformed hero-turned-heroine needed right now.

Ever since she'd gotten the chance at payback against the Family a week ago, she'd been quiet, obedient, listened to Ifrits gentle advice and done what
she was told. She'd let the fey take her shopping, teach her how to look after her new body (The discovery of how many soaps and shampoos that a catgirl
needed was... unnerving), and even relented and let the doctors poke and prod at her.

But since her change, she hadn't gotten a moment alone to herself, just to unwind and relax, to try not to focus on her problems. So, she'd snuck out
and made her way across town, feeling like a little kid sneaking out after curfew, and now, she was going to find a nice empty rooftop and relax.

Smiling at the feel of the sun, high in the sky on a clear spring day, Robert broke into a light jog, managing to ignore the sensations of bounces in strange
places, hips swiveling oddly, her tail waving. Grin widening, she moved from a jog to a run, slightly amazed by her speed. Maybe it was just the way she used
to be always running around in bulky armor, or maybe it was just her leaner build, but she felt faster then ever... and she liked it.

Sprinting down an empty road, she never even noticed as she dropped to all fours. She did notice when she jumped, bounced off an abandoned cars roof, and
landed on top of a nearby building. Blinking, she padded back to the edge and looked.

"I jumped... that?" she said softly, more then a hint of amazement in her voice. "Wow." She looked down for a moment longer, then studied
the rooftop. "Perfect," she said with satisfaction. The catgirl stretched, arching her back as far as she could, then stood up and tapped her watch.
The subspace storage cell inside promptly released its contents: a small fridge and a deck chair.

Setting those out on the rooftop, she tabbed the controls on her glove to unseal her body armor, removing it to reveal a modest bikini. Wearing it felt weird
as hell, but she could hardly kick back and relax in body armor now, could she? With a final stretch, she settled down on the deck chair, took a can of beer
out of the portable fridge, slipped on a pair of sunglasses and just let the world wait.

It was quieter here, she noticed. Ever since she'd woken up with fur and breasts, she'd been shocked at how loud the world had suddenly become. Cars,
trucks, planes... she honestly had to wonder how Alice and Sammy had tolerated it for so long. And the smell... she'd always thought that was normal...
although in this case, the Hollows wasn't better, thanks to the smell of the Hydra on the wind.

Still, even with the stench, this was the most relaxation she'd had all week. Drink in hand, eyes closed, the warmth of the sun playing over her body...
she smiled faintly, feeling an odd, but welcome, rumbling begin in her chest. Stretching again, the catgirl let her troubles just fade away.

It didn't matter. The confusion about who she was, who she was meant to be. The reactions of people that mattered to her. Disgust, sympathy, hatred, pity.
The humiliation of being different, of not being a man when everyone thought she should be. The question that Ifrits existence meant about her masculinity. The
future of Knight of the Peace, and what stepping into that title in her current form would mean, possibly forever.

Right not, here on this warm rooftop on a spring afternoon, it didn't matter. She was comfortable, she was content, and the rest could wait.

After a while though, a sound caught her attention. Ear twitching, she opened her eyes again and listened. Fighting, the sound of rocks and ice crashing
against pavement and flesh, and the angry yowl of a catgirl. Curious, she put the can down and got off the deckchair, padding over to the edge of the roof to
take a look. About a hundred meters down the street, a young looking dark-furred catgirl was fighting a group of Outcasts, a grin on her face.

Rob watched for a minute, her attention on the girl. For reasons she couldn't explain, something about the catgirl struck her as incredibly familar. Which
might not be entirely surprising. Riot had a lot of catgirls these days, the supergroups largest demographic behind the Sabres. Knight of the Peace could
easily have met her somewhere and simply mixed her in with the sea of people she knew only well enough to say 'hi' when they pass each other in the
street.

Still, Rob couldn't shake the feeling she should help. Chalking it up to a sense of responsibility, she went and packed up her gear and put her armor back
on, before jumping off the rooftop (Landing on all fours, naturally) and going to meet the girl. "Hey there," she smiled, getting there as the last
Outcast fell.

The girl looked up and smiled. "Oh hi!" she said, her obvious delighted mood making Rob feel better then and there. "Just finding out where
Frosty's hiding today."

"Not telling," groaned an Outcast. The girl kicked him again.

"I know a place we could hit," Rob nodded. "He hides out there on occasion."

"Great!" the girl smiled, hugging her. Rob returned the hug automatically, not finding it odd, but being struck by that sense of familiarity again.
"I'm Purrfect Shadow," she smiled.

"Knight of the Peace. Call me Robin," she said, never even noticing how her previous doubts with resuming her previous identity were forgotten the
moment she spoke to this girl.
Knight of the Peace leaned back, the rock coated fist swinging in front of her face, before lunging forward and stabbing her right hands claws into the
Outcasts shoulder. As he screamed, she pulled her claws out and drove her foot into his knee, sending him down with a loud crunch. She turned, trying to find
the rest of this little group, and saw Purrfect Shadow duck under a baseball bat, diving past the mutant ganger in the process, the turn and rake the mans back
with her claws. As he fell, moaning and whimpering, the other catgirl grinned and gave Robin a thumbs up.

Robin returned the grin, even as her claws slid back into her hands and up into her forearms (Being wiped clean of blood and gore on the way by padding in her
gauntlets). She'd quickly found that she liked Purrfect Shadow, who gladly answered to any variation of her name, be it Ann, or Angela, or Angie as Robin
had settled on. She was lively, friendly, and more then willing to offer advice on life with a tail and fur, after learning how new Robin was to the catgirl
life. So far, Robin hadn't let slip it wasn't just the 'cat' part she was getting used to, thanks to concern over how Angie might react.

She wasn't really sure why Angies opinion was so important to her, but she didn't feel like it was a problem right now. Here was a person that
didn't know anything about Robins problems and utterly terrible week, and it meant the Knight was off on a fun adventure, fighting evil (even if it was
just Frostfire), and it felt pretty good actually. An interesting variation on time alone.

Now, if she could just figure out what it was about Angie that felt so damn familiar... She paused and wrinkled her nose, looking down at the Brick she'd
taken down. "Did you just... ugh!" she declared, making a disgusted face and backing away from the figure in the fetal position. Angie had a similar
expression.

"She didn't hurt you that badly!" Shadow declared. "That's no reason to go and... ew." She looked up at Robin. "Humans are
disgusting."

"I'm starting to agree with you," she replied, tagging the Outcast with an arrest beacon before she headed for the hallway. "Crapping your
pants... no wonder the Outcasts never amount to anything." She shook her head. "I could get used to the smells, I guess. Well, the normal smells.
That's still just sad."

Angie nodded in agreement as they walked around a corner, then smiled as the tendrils of darkness around her caught a bullet. "They're not that smart,
are they?" she asked Robin was the Outcast with the revolver stared.

"Well, that goes without saying," Robin replied, breaking into a run. The rather new recruit got another shot off, but it merely bounced off her
armor before she hit him with a flying tackle that sent them rolling across the ground and ended with her lunging at another ganger, and him with painful
crippling cuts to his thighs and biceps.

Purrfect Shadow was right behind her, black mist trailing behind her as she disarmed another Outcast, then cut into his chest. Between them, the room was
cleared in moments. "Having fun?" she smiled as Robin tagged the Outcasts.

Knight of the Peace actually giggled at that. "Oh yes... I could really get to like these," she admitted, popping her claws out again. "I mean,
before the accident, I was a blaster, but now I need... I need to..." She paused, biting her lip slightly. "I'm not sure how to explain it."

"You need to be up close and personal?" Angie smiled. "Flesh against flesh, the smell of sweat, blood and fear as you hunt?" Robin gave her
a surprised look, then nodded. "Not uncommon in catgirls. You are a predator now," she pointed out with a grin. The blonde catgirl blinked, watching
her friend continue on. Then she shook her head, smiled, and followed.

***

"Well, I'm definitely more agile," Robin said, idly doing a handstand on a railing. A moment later, a pair of Outcasts charged out of a side room
below them, and Knight of the Peace flipped off, landing in front of them and punching her claws through one mans thighs, before ripping them out and lunging
at the other Outcast. Angie was right behind her, tearing into a second pair of Outcasts to run in. "I mean, I can put my foot behind my head now.
That's pretty damn impressive."

Angie laughed. "Well, I'll admit I'm biased - been like this since the day I was born, after all - but yeah, I think there's a lot of
benefits..." Her voice trailed off at the sound of heavy footsteps, as a massive Brick and his goons stomped around a corner and paused at the sight of
them.

"Well... two little pussys," he snickered, thumping his stone-coated fist against the wall. "I reckon we could have some fun with 'em,
'ey guys?"

Angie looked at him, then back at Robin. "Is he supposed to be scaring us?" she asked.

"Yeah, he's trying," Robin replied with a laugh. "He likes to think he's the big man around here... please," she snorted.

"Hey!" he growled.

"Keystone, come on," Robin said, rolling her eyes. "Every single time Frosty breaks out of prison and low level heroes come to send him back,
you're there as his loyal bodyguard. And every single time, you get your butt kicked."

"Well, aren't ya a brave one," Keystone growled, more rocks forming around his fists. "Put 'em on the ground!" he ordered,
charging. Angie summoned a dark mist around her that absorbed a Shockers lightning, even as Robin ducked under Keystones punch and started carving off slices
of rock.

Angie caught a firemans ax and jabbed her claws into the gangers hands, then kicked out his feet from under him. A baseball bat bounced off the dark energies
around her, sending a smaller shockwave into her body. Wincing, she nailed the goon with an elbow to the face, then looked for another target.

She turned at just the right moment to see Keystone clip Robin with a blow to the shoulder. Even that was enough to throw her across the room, although she
rolled with the landing and was on her feet in moments, claws out, fangs bared. For his part, the Outcast lieutenant paused, looking her over.

"... Knight of the Peace," he said slowly, a smirk appearing on his face. "Damn! I heard stories the Family got to ya with that freaky new drug
they've got... Who'd have thought you'd be such a babe!"

"Key, do you really want to finish that train of thought?" Knight said in a quiet, dangerous tone.

"What're ya gonna do, girly?" Keystone taunted. "I mean, if you cry about it, you'll mess up yer makeup!" he laughed. "The big
tough guy, turned into a prime piece of tits and ass." The other Outcasts laughed in response to that.

"With claws that cut through your rock easily enough," the catgirl quipped, then charged. The shockers lightning crackled off her body armor in the
brief time he had to fire before Purrfect Shadow pounced on him, and then Knight had reached Keystone. Leaping over his swing, she slashed at his bicep on the
way past, then landed behind him, grabbed him, kicked his feet out, and guided his drop into a wall. He made a pained yelp, then noticed a trio of sharp points
against his throat, and stopped moving.

"I'm gonna tell people all about your little sex change, you fag," he said,

"Sure, and be sure to add that I still sent you to the Zig again," Knight smirked, handcuffing him. "Big tough Outcast can't even handle
someone that's been a catgirl for less then a week," she added, tapping the handcuff controls and teleporting him to the Zig. She glanced over at
where Angie was doing the same to the rest of the group and frowned. "Um... yeah."

"... Would it help if I said I already knew?" Angie asked after the last Outcast was teleported away.

Robin blinked. "Really?" she replied, tail twitching slightly.

"When someone makes something like Yarnball, catgirls listen to the news," the other girl admitted, scratching at her ear nervously. "I... just
didn't want to worry you," she added. "You know, make you worried I'd freak out about it, treat you weird..."

The blonde catgirl looked at her for a long moment, ears twitching slightly, before she smiled and pulled Angie into a brief hug. "Thanks," she said
with a grin. "I think I needed it. Now then... let's go put Frosty back in his cell."

Following her, Angie grinned. "That said, I do kinda have a few questions."

"You're a curious one," she said.

"Comes with the ears and tail. Didn't you notice?"

"...Now that you mention it..."

This is some fun stuff, and a nice look into Knight's head. I like it!

... that said, I can't help but compare this to what she's doing to Leon in the other thread, and... yeah.

She's not as innocent as she sounds, that's all I'm sayin'. *lol*

Well, this is before that story, and while she seems to develop the 'Nene' sense of humor, she honestly hasn't realized just how BIG an effect
she's having on Leon Smile

okay, I'll admit V, I'm curious. why does that worry you?

Angie does have a secret though...
Frostfire sighed, closed his laptop and handed it to one of his minions (who promptly ran out through a back door), then stood up and looked towards the main
entrance to his current inner sanctum. It sounded like there was yet another group of heroes tracking him down, as part of the 'hero training' he'd
come to despise over the years.

Honestly, it was insulting. Sure, the Outcasts weren't the biggest, toughest gang around, but he'd like to think he could get a little more respect
from the heros then this. Were they really that spiteful to someone that had once dreamed of being accepted as one of them? A hero, damned by the courts and
public for merely trying to help?

Time, it seemed, had not been kind to Frostfires memories of his 'fall from grace'.

As he cursed his life yet again, a Freezer was thrown through the glass doors, landing on a patch of ice and sliding across the room, coming to a halt by his
leaders feet. Frostfire scowled, then looked up to see the two catgirls entering. "What the hell? Is there a catgirl plague or something lately?"

"Actually, yes," Purrfect Shadow quipped. "Have you had your shots?" Knight laughed as Frostfire blinked, then a pair of Bricks tried to
flank the pair, and the fight started. Things got confusing fast as the two catgirls split up, throwing themselves from brawl to brawl and generally letting
the Outcasts crash into each other.

As she ducked, weaved and clawed, Robin began to note that not only was she wonderfully agile now, but she seemed more durable then she would have expected.
Her light body armor seemed to be holding up as well as, if not better then, the advanced powered armor Miranda had built for her after the Sky Raider incident
the previous year. She made a note to look into that... after she dealt with the current problem. The current problem being a swarm of fire imps that Frostfire
had summoned and sent after her.

Growling, she sliced one in half, stabbed another and kicked the third one away, then ducked under an ice club and slashed at an Outcast, spraying blood
everywhere. The growl shifted into a snarl at the smell of blood as she charged on. She wasn't killing them, but without really noticing, she'd begun
to class them as prey, and wasn't being gentle anymore. The blood, the adrenaline surging through her... Now, more then ever, she felt alive.

Kneecapping another ganger, she got a clear line of sight on Frostfire, and had to stop and stare at the sight of Purrfect Shadow using a Shockers shoulders as
a launch platform to throw herself at Frostfire. The Outcasts founder made a surprised noise, summoning flames to his hands, only to have the catgirl tackle
him, and bury her claws in his shoulders.

Listening to his surprised, pained scream, Knight was smacked in the chest by a baseball bat, drawing a pained yelp from her. Gasping, she looked at the
Outcast, who was looking at her chest with a confused expression. "That should've hurt you more," he said.

"You wear a cup?" Knight asked. He nodded. "Same principle," she said, punching him in the face. "Jerk. Don't see me going around
hitting people in the privates," she scowled at him as he dropped, clutching at his nose.

"You crazy furball," Frostfire gasped from where he'd dropped to his knees. "You're freaking crazy!" Angie rolled her eyes, placing
her hands on his shoulders and letting the mist ripple off her hands and into his wounds, working as simple bandages.

"You'll be in a prison regeneration tube in a few minutes, tops," Robin snorted. "Here's an idea. If you're sick of being beat up by
heroes every time you break out of prison, stop breaking out of prison."

"That's crazy talk!" Angie laughed.

"It's not that-"

"-simple, yes, we all know your little motto," Robin said, slapping the teleport cuffs on him. She pressed the button and he vanished.

"So, that was Frostfire," Angie mused. "I'd heard he was kind of..." she paused, looking for the right word. "...an idiot,"
she finished.

Robin laughed, nodding. "Yeah, I've never met anyone else so stubborn about being wrong before."

The younger catgirl grinned, stretching. "So, we've taken down Frosty the Outcast, and it's only two in the afternoon. What else shall we do with
our day?" In response, Robin smiled, tail dancing in amusement.

***

Angie adjusted the straps on her bikini and stretched out on the deck chair. "You're a genius," she said, picking up her straw hat and putting it
back on, before giving Robin another demonstration of the simple spell 'Summon fruity drink with little umbrella.'

The black-furred catgirl replied with a soft giggle. "Oh, I do have my moments," she said, taking the drink from Angie and lying back on her own
chair. A bit more careful searching this time had provided them with a rooftop not too far from the War Wall, the wind blowing down into the Hollows and thus
defeating most of the stench.

She smiled lightly, sipping at her drink. "Well, this answered something I've been wondering about all week," she said. Her friend gave her a
curious look. "Oh, I was wondering if I should maybe make another hero identidy while like this," she shrugged. "So if I end up being changed
back, I don't have a very... unusual incident attached to my name and reputation."

"You figure people might react poorly to a man turned into a catgirl?" Angie said.

"I know they will," she sighed. "But you know what? To hell with them. I'm handling this just fine, I can live with it if it turns out to be
permenant, and I'll be damned if I run and hide over it."

Angie nodded, a soft smile appearing on her face. "Brave. Daring... could bring trouble."

"I'm a superhero. That'll happen anyway." Angie nodded in agreement, and the pair fell silent, merely enjoying the sun. Robins smile widened.
This day had been just what she needed.

Because Patty's formerly being a guy is fairly obvious to anyone that has an above-average sensitivity to other people's
reactions/attitudes, as well as her general relief that people here treat her as just another masked heroine. Thus, surely the broad strokes(if not the precise
details) are likely well known among the superhero grapevine.

Alternatively, a Nene did it.
