We SO Rocked it!
Allowing for my dad aggro, DS's connectivity problems, etc... A Master of Could conceivably happen with the team we had:

yes, we had a smashtastic team.

several times we had team splits and I wouldn't have noticed it without looking at the map.

And aside from our somewhat disjointed attack on recluse things went surprising well.

Sorry to have missed it, but given I literally faceplanted into bed and didn't wake up until eight hours later, it's probably best I wasn't tanking. :lol

waste."
One lesson learned was.. Ubercluse hurts Big Grin *teasingly prods Dren* I'll take the blame for not clearly saying for buffs to be laid onto Dren a few minutes before the fight started. So poor guy was splatted within seconds. Then Rhea lol. Terr would have too if I didn't have a pile of greens in my insp tray being eaten like candy while others recovered. But other than that rocky start the end fight went remarkably well with a tiny hiccup at the end with the group having to take down the flyer again.

Wanna give a call out to Spud on Rhea who managed to keep me up for the whole fight despite me getting detoggled once because recluse sapped all my end at one point detoggling meh and knocking me around for a few seconds while I retoggled.
There's no blame to be had, Terr.  I laid every buff I had on Dren, just like I do with any tank Rhea is guarding who's going to be getting intimate with Recluse.  His burst damage was just too much.  Dren's build is simply not Recluse-tanking material -- yet.  As I pointed out last night, this marks Rhea's seventh successful STF out of nine attempts; all but one of the other successes were with Stone tanks, and even then, they required empath support.  You've got about five hojillion inf sunk into Terr's build, which gives him a bit of an edge, you have to admit. Smile
But, regardless.  Whenever I STF, whoever is on Recluse gets my full attention, and I laid Clear Mind, Fortitude, Adrenaline Boost, Recovery Aura and Regeneration Aura on Dren, same as you (once they came back after Rhea faceplanted).  I also stay in range so what little bit that Manuevers provides can help.  Recluse just hits so damn hard while all four towers are up that all he has to do is connect and most tanks will be flatlined.  I don't know Dren's build, but I'll bet where it differs from yours is in the resists.  Because both of you got hit, but Recluse did less damage to you.  Not much less, mind you.  But a little.  Just enough to leave you alive instead of squishing you (and you were mighty quick on them green insps, too -- you were getting health back before I managed to get back in range after than huge knockback Smile )

Pity you didn't have the Golem. I haven't been counting my runs, but my most recent run on the STF was the insane 4-man run with Arty (One of my best kin friends, Kissa-Kick on the channel) and a Scrapper and Blaster friend of hers. With her Transfusing (kin heal) off of one of the Towers, I was managing for the most part. The Flier was a pain though, it kept aggroing while they were taking out the towers. o.o

Recluse is a hell of a pain to tank. He can put out a 300-600 damage a shot, even to Emet, with all the towers up.

One thing I really could have used dureing the fight was Reyshal's insulation bubble which would have cut down Chuckle's endurance drain from his attacks...cause getting detoggled wasn't a fun time Big Grin. Well Terr does have a few hundred Hp more than Dren which I think was the main difference. Terr's a done build..with the exception for another 5 Resistance/Endurance Hami's to make all of his up to 50+ but that's minor improvements at best. I -think- dren does have superior energy resists since I do have resist energies but all it has is the steadfast protection 3% global def in it.

Its Channel Gun. Recluses Channel Gun will rip INV a new one 2300ish on Terr without any outside buffs at bout 30ish% energy Resistance. Any of Recluses attacks with an energy component will do much more damage to INV since our resist value against energy is pretty damn sad compared to our S/L resist.
I admit to being shocked at how fast Dren went down. And I felt for him. But it made Terry's performance that much more gob-smackingly awesome. (At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if adding future incarnate powers to Terry would wind up being superfluous! Oy!)
I had a grand time with Cyberman 8. The constant boost to defense and the overall bubble made it so that I really only popped elude in order to boost my recharge during boss and AV fights in order to HIT THINGS FASTER! ^_^
I agree totally that this particular team combo could do a "Master of" run on STF.
And Rhea? You need to wear that Nurse uniform more often. Cause - YOWZA! ^_^

dark seraph

i was suprised by how well it went, they were only 2 moments when i paniced.

1: got Sicc and GW from a snipe (thank god Terr tanked her ass Smile )

2: secondry mutation turning DS into a monkey during the GW fight >.>;

besides that, it was a hoot, we need to do it again some time Smile

Yeah, it was a great team, and after realizing how badly i went down, I have to go over my build.  I'll have to post what Drenivian's build is in the Mids for outside help.  And Terr, I had 3 rows of greens, but only a little over 2000hp.  I gotta get the rest of my accolades.
on a side note...  I gotta check the forums more often.

One thing I will definitely need to remember to do...or if someone runs with me..remind me! to use Dull pain before the fighting begins, the extra hit points from it will give the healer the much needed wiggle room to keep meh alive through the initial moments where recluse is most likely to splat me with Channlegun then followed up with pretty much any of his other attacks by that point.
