I am pleased when I look at the new lore pets that are going to be available, should make just bout everyone happy. I must have my ROMANZ! although there is a lot of interesting ones to choose from I just have to make Cimorians because y'know I've likely depopulated Cimerora more than a couple times over Big Grin

Oh yeah..we'll be able to skip 'Mothers' Cut scene now! WHoo!

Oh, my... This is going to change a LOT. I could spend a minute to buff an entire team with bubbles that only lasted four minutes. This changes a three minute cycle back to four. More time for holding!

*looks* holy crap thats some shiny new crap.

not to wowed by the costumes... but the ability to _buy_ Purps and PvP IO's?

F*** You Wentworths! XD

DS: You could already kind of do that via Hero and Villain Merits, just adding the ability to spend Astral and Empyreans for that is also icing on the Cake

I'll just echo Drogan that the group area buffs thing may completely change how I play my defenders (and how often I play clank).

If I can buff everyone on a team/league/whatever (possibly including pets) in a matter of 5-10 seconds instead of minutes...

*does happy dance*

Oh, god. I NEVER HAVE TO HEAR THE WHINING OF GRANITE TANKS EVER AGAIN.

The Devs could have made THAT upgrade an issue. A *paid for* issue. And I would've bought it. JUST FOR THAT.

Only problem I just realized is that Speed Boost is now Full team all the time

Well instead of "say so if you don't want SB" it will now become "back away if you don't want SB". I can fully see people making a macro for something like that.

I'm "meh" about the Incarnate armor myself, but the auras look cool, and I'm looking forward to the emotes and other stuff as well. I'm not normally a player of defenders or trollers, so the area buff isn't as big a deal to me, but yeah, I can see it's going to change a lot of strategies.

Then the horns kicked in...
...and my shoes began to squeak.
I don't like this idea of making auras that can't be unlocked until you're 50 and doing whatever, but I saw that change on Speed Boost and was like "!!!"

Might even make me willing to play a FF mastermind. Or several other things.

-Morgan. Not that the person playing FFXI needs more CoH character ideas...

MechaDeuce

G'day folks.

As somebody who's totally burned-out on Incarnate trials of any description, I have to say I feel ambivalent at best about the new "issue". I don't see anything addressing my main gripes about the new incarnate trials, mainly the rewards for the damn things. After a solid month of doing trials with my one scrapper, I got nothing higher than uncommons, and had to spend a lot of cash to finally craft a couple of rares. I sure as heck don't feel like trying to play my alts on this stuff. =P

Actually, other than the Incarnate Armor costume pieces, all the other things that're unlocked are unlocked from level 1. Also, the aura and cape vouchers simply unlock those functionalities on a character at any point, essentially making the cape and aura missions optional (which, given my annoyance with gaining an aura blueside OR red, is wonderful)

Personally, the best change I've seen for the iTrials stuff is the vouchers, which basically allow you to do Trials on whatever character you like and then just trade their shard/thread gains across your account to other characters. It's a nice option for folks that have one "high tier" character they run and a bunch of others that would be painful to run through trials because of squishiness/unfinished builds/whatever.

What I'd wonder about those vouchers is if it's a 1:1 ratio. If not... that'd be kind of no fun.

Since it describes them as "merit reward auras", I'm not sure how that's supposed to work. Unless it's account-wide. Which, well, more stuff being account-wide in general would make me happy when it comes to costume unlocks. (Although in practical terms I'm not sure I'd care much either way, since I'm pretty sure I recall an ice based aura that I'd probably use for Iris Kazami.)

I think it did mention that the costume and aura's were an acount wide option.

and now I only need 1 toon to get all the incarnate shinys, time for DS and Neph to start paying back all my other toons Tongue

Neph: What?

DS: fun of being a family

Neph: ... is it to late to adopt myself out?

I'm not sure. It specifically says that the armor is account-wide but restricted to level 50 characters. It doesn't say anything at all about the auras, other that they come from merit rewards. (Presumably the shiny new merits that I haven't been paying attention to how to get.)

I suppose there could be a forum post clearing things up. '.'
