Has anybody ever suggested "American Woman" as a song? If not, I assume that it is most likely to create some sort of aversion field that repels female U.S. citizens. I'm not sure if it would be a psychic barrier or a force field effect.
American Woman
Artist(Band):The Guess Who
(Bachman-Cummings-Kale-Peterson)
(Prologue)
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman, she gonna mess your mind
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman gonna mess your mind
Say A,
Say M,
Say E,
Say R,
Say I,
C,
Say A,
N,
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman, stay away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Dont come hangin around my door
I dont wanna see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin old with you
Now woman, I said stay away,
American woman, listen what I say.
American woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Dont come knockin around my door
Dont wanna see your shadow no more
Coloured lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone elses eyes
Now woman, I said get away
American woman, listen what I say.
American woman, said get away
American woman, listen what I say
Dont come hangin around my door
Dont wanna see your face no more
I dont need your war machines
I dont need your ghetto scenes
Coloured lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone elses eyes
Now woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be.
Go, gotta get away, gotta get away
Now go go go
Gonna leave you, woman
Gonna leave you, woman
Bye-bye
Bye-bye
Bye-bye
Bye-bye
Youre no good for me
Im no good for you
Gonna look you right in the eye.
Tell you what Im gonna do
You know Im gonna leave
You know Im gonna go
You know Im gonna leave
You know Im gonna go, woman
Im gonna leave, woman
Goodbye, American woman
Goodbye, American chick
Goodbye, American broad ...

I suggested it a couple of years back, and that's the power that everybody thought was appropriate. Bob never gave it an official ruling, though.
(Have you heard the version of American Woman on "Jukebox", the album that Bachman and Cummings released earlier this year? Much better than the original Guess Who version, and in my opinion just as good as the Lenny Kravitz version from 1999...)

No, I have yet to hear that version. I'll have to see if anybody has YouTubed an AMV to it.

I rarely give anything an official ruling -- I like to keep my options open; who knows when I'll need a song to do X, and the forum's already decided Y, right? But yeah, this is pretty obvious, and if it needs "official" recognition, sure.

Well, the nice thing about this song (and others that are as popular or more popular than it) is that there are cover versions out there -- Doug can get different abilities depending on which cover he plays...
