Hmmmmm... In GURPS terms, maybe he picks up the Tactics or Strategy skill? The level would be either equal to or one point lower than the best level possessed by anyone else in his area of effect.
(Of course, fansongs don't qualify, since they haven't been recorded... Right?)

Is that something similar to one of Archer's abilities in Fate/Stay Night (the game)? The ability to analyze and create a solution to a problem or situation, no matter how slim the odds?
