Having brought up Yu-Gi-Oh! in the future steps thread, and because you never know when there will be a high-stakes poker game for the fate of the universe.....(By the by, the use of metatalents and ancient Egyptian artifacts is allowed in card games in the YGO universe.)
"The Gambler"-Kenny Rogers. Generally good for card games, especially determining how strong your hand is compared to your opponents. Or could get Doug advice from a dead gambler (there are a couple of them in the YGO manga.)
"Luck Be a Lady Tonight"-Guys and Dolls. Makes sure your hot streak continues for the length of the song. Do *not* use while playing Jonouchi/Joey Wheeler of YGO, as Lady Luck came in with *him.*
"Playing With the Queen of Hearts"-Juice Newton. Really a song about running away from a woman, so would probably invoke some sort of movement power away from female opponents. In the card game context, bad for "female" cards, good for jokers, fools and clowns.
"Jack of Hearts"-Bob Dylan. Not actually much of a gambling song, more about a thief/conman. But it's *long* so whatever effect it has will last and last.
There's the whole YGO "Music to Duel By" album, but you can't get that in the YGO universe.

Dougs got this probability thing going, doesn't he? I imagine that would play merry hell with an unregulated gambling table; Warriors world casinos likely employ telepaths or sniffers to weed such folks out as much as possible. I'd imagine many a super found out about his powers when he was asked to leave the casino on a some trip down to Atlantic City.

Heh, I forgot about Doug's field in this context. It reminds me of... I think it's a Yosemite Sam moment: "Four aces!" "Same here." "And here." Me too." "Well waddaya know, boys, looks like we got us a fast one..." I don't remember if it's Sam as one of 'the boys' versus Bugs, or maybe Daffy (Daffy seems more likely to be doing the cardsharp gig) or if Sam was the one facing four generic goon-types.

"Viva Las Vegas"-Elvis. Obviously works best in Las Vegas itself. Doug's gambling, drinking and womanizing skills (or just "Carousing" as one old game system put it) may not actually be enhanced, but he'll enjoy himself a lot. Watch out for the "burning soul" lines though.
"Devil Went Down to Georgia"-Charlie Daniels. Really more for contests of skill than luck, but it's a co-worker's favorite song. May be helpful if Doug has a Game of Darkness/Shadow Game declared against him, as those often involve risking your soul/life.
"Midnight Rambler"-Rolling Stones. A stealth song, but the second verse changes it to "Midnight Gambler." Helpful with sleight of hand, or getting out the door if things turn sour.
Google search turns up several references to Mongolian gambling songs, for some reason.

I never thought of that but yeah, probably, John. Them, and mages. The casinos probably have magic-detection stuff out the wazoo just to keep out the $1.50 luck charms... let alone the big guns...

There seem to be quite a few songs with gambling references in the folk/country/gospel area, but the vast majority involve:
1: The gambler loses everything.
2: The gambler dies in some other manner than peacefully in his sleep.
3: The gambler gets caught cheating, either at the game or with someone's woman.
Or all three. None of this is particularly helpful for winningat gambling.
Oh, Paste magazine's included CD had a Lisa Loeb song that I can't find lyrics for, but is entitled "I Control the Sun". I think the power granted is fairly obvious, but it has the side effect that interpersonal skills can't be used for the duration. (The singer is complaining that despite all her power, she can't make a relationship work.)

"Read'em and Weep". Barry Manilow, but written by Jim Steinman, which is always a plus. It's a little less focused on the actual gambling part than some of the other songs here, but it does have the proper kind of imagery...
