I don't think so... not with the setup/expectation games that song plays. But as I noted a few weeks ago, it is his helmet...
Hm. I wonder if Benny Bell is still alive... I saw him live on stage as part of a Dr. Demento/Weird Al Yankovic concert in New York in 1985, but that was really the last I heard of him. He was quite elderly (though spry) then, but that was almost twenty years ago...
