Okay, so, keep in mind that I'm hard of hearing. Not too bad, but bad enough that I don't always hear what someone said clearly.
So, we're talking about comic books at work and someone comments on "Crisis on Infinite Earths." Which is not what I heard. What I heard was an idea for an Ah! My Goddess story.
"Crisis of Infinite Urds."
I'm still trembling at the idea.

Actually, ifyou take it a little more seriously, it could be pretty cool. After all, Urd is the Goddess of the Past - so each of the Urds would be representing an alternate past. Make it an inversion of the "a whole bunch of time travelers from different futures come back" schtick. Keiichi, Belldandy, and possibly Skuld all wind up in a strange new place with at least partial amnesia - and a huge pack of Urds all fighting to be the past that they came from.
Okay, so you'd need a *lot* more (at first) hidden explanation to make it make sense from a causality standpoint, but it's an interesting start, no?
To add an element of crack to it, you could have some ESPN announcers sitting in a booth nearby giving blow-by-blows on the whole thing.

Though after seeing that chant all I can think is a few years post series Megumi's roomate summons Urd as Caster (she swiped one of Megumi's outfits and it had Urd hair on it), said roommate it utterly baffled by how the elaborate cover story she had thought up was obliterated when Megumi explain Urd was her sister in law. Urd was a viable candidate due to a recent temporary demotion and is far, far more intrested in screwing with Shiro's love life then anything else. Urd uses the chant of doom after the duel between Shiro and Gilgamesh to swarm goldie... him being a threat to her fun and all. The angry one is dragged out of the Grail and then dragged off by Mara, he so did not have permission to end the world and Hild decides screwing with Shiro's love life is going to be a mother daughter bonding event. The uncursed wish is granted when Shiro attempts to figure out what is going on at that point... and now he doomed to understand what is going on in his life without being able to tell anyone or get out of it. Urd disappears at that point, only to pop out of the roommates Tv... and the roommate get paranoid as she is now dealing with Urd without command seals.

Actually, nothing. That's how they come out if I don't modify them. They look too dark to me. As it was an off-the-cuff render, I didn't bother doing any post editing.
As for what she's wearing beneath the book . . . let me just say that if the book were larger, you would be wondering about
pants as well . . ..
