If there is something you like lingering on a abandoned free Fortune city web page you had better visit it and save what you want before April 30.

It would probably also be a good idea to check up on the free sites that have not been abandoned and find out what the site owner's plans are.

And I never heard of Fortune City before this.

So unless someone can point me to wonderful content that will be lost, my reaction's going to be *shrug*

In spite of Sweno's comment there were quite a few good fanfic sites on Geocities and I still find myself accidentally clicking a dead link to a Geocities site at least once every couple of weeks. There are websites that have tried to archive geocities, but they missed so much and often only have partial copies.  So it would probably pay to search your links and see if there are any fortune city sites with material you want to keep.
I've been rather busy farming, but I have started going through my large collection of fanfic links searching out the links that point at a fortune city site and seeing if there is something I want to archive or if the site is moving somewhere else.
If you have a link to a fortune city site please post it.
