So, DH glowing King's Cross, Dumbledore outright says it's all in Harry's head, but there are three beings there - an old man, an adult, and a mangledy baby, supposedly Voldie's soul fragment. But, all the other horcruxes reflected his age when they were made, and diary Tom was described as looking quite like Harry... Now assume a fanon Evil Albus. Doesn't it make more sense that the discussion is Dumbledore's horcrux playing Tom's, as part of a Xanatos Gambit plan to negate the prophesy that would have

led to his downfall if not diverted onto Tom, paving the way to gradually take over the Harry body to leave behind the troubles of old age? The long game is always his favorite, after all, and "Harry" is well positioned to rebuild Albus's position of power with a few more years from the crapilogue.

That could certainly explain his abominable taste in baby names.
Couple of quibbles/thoughts, though.  One: does it really 'divert' the prophecy?  You can read it a lot of ways (I'll break down the ones I see if you'd like), but it boils down to two possible holders of the title "Dark Lord", and one prophesied child, forced into conflict with one of them, which he may or may not end up killing, rendering harmless, or whatever meaning of 'vanquish' you prefer.  Heck, you could do a decent fic without ever revealing which Dark Lord was the subject of the prophecy, or when it was fulfilled.
Second, what are the ramifications re: the Hallows?  Does Harry die without being defeated?  Does AD taking over count, and make him master of the Wand?
Third, what's Albie's endgame?  Is he aiming to stay the power behind society, does he want to reign as an immortal mage-king, or something in between?  I'm sure he'd make different preparations for each, which would end up necessitating different midgames to accomplish and oh dear, I've gone cross-eyed.
Fourth, how can we be sure Tom is actually fully gone?  Dumbles was responsible, in canon, for destroying the ring horcrux- how do we know he didn't actually save it, and show the rest of the world a fake?  Evil!Albus is usually a master of the memory charm- he could've done a bit of editing to make people think LV died at the end of Book 7, either from surviving his 'death', or as his first move from inside Harry.
Oh, great.  Now I've gone and made your monster grow.  Sorry. ^^

Bah... Bah... I say.  Why bother with the effort of taking out Harry Potter at all... the better bet is explain the most glaring section of issue with the epilogue... the Ginny pairing from nowhere.  Fiat pairings with the lack of build up and unexplained back sliding of character development.
All Evil!D has to do is ride around in Harry's scar until he has kids and add an extra Weasly spawn into the genepool.  Harry marries a girl from stock that has half a dozen offspring normally in a society where two kids is odd and three from a pairing is like having a farm family.  All he has to do is wait until Ginny is expecting for the X time and one kid is now twins.  Its not even technically evil.
Then he can coast through a lifetime with a protective dad and ride the hero train without issue... while Harry does all the work.  You could even have Snape sneak in through those memories he gave Harry at the end.  Its not that the kids are terribly named... its reincarnating into retirement and the good life.
Basically, a next gen story that stars the previous generation's previous generation.

Please, the Ginny-Harry pairing has been building since practically book 1, it's just that it was mostly from Ginny's side.

Of course, none of the relationships established in the series make a lot of sense.
I think that the problem people have with H/G is that she's barely there except as plot token to rescue in bk2 until suddenly she's in the DoM raid and next year Harry has "a chest monster" for her, which is supposed to be him discovering love? Plus the whole 'padlock double standard' for relationships, where a key that opens many locks is a master key but a lock that many keys open is a crappy lock, which both of then are on the wrong side of given relative dating history.

I ship lunar harmony or OC/INOs

Well the first issue is that the epilogue was apparently written before the series and the just tossed on at then end.  Its a giant wall of 'Tell do not Show'.  Granted Harry is terrible as a date in school and far more likely to be ready for dating after school and that whole offing the lich-that-managed-to-convince-everyone-he-was-actually-Cthulu thing.  The whole epilouge reeks of 'Noodle Incident'.... the romance that won't be explained.  In other words... I feel like I got robbed and missed out on a second series of Harry Potter books.  The most glaring plot hole in the series is the one the second series of books fell into.
So basically to except Harry/Ginny as destined and cannon! is to except plot holes as the source of all romance.
The second issue is that the Harry/Ginny pairing of canon has no real explanation... at all.  They never actually spent time alone together.  While Ginny has lots of reasons to go after Harry... I'm confused why Harry would go after Ginny.  She is one of the girls that he has the least chemistry with.  Seriously...basically any girl who isn't a flatout enemy or rather older is one he has more chemistry with.
It also has the taste of fangirl instantly wins by bothering.   Like in Naruto Fannon! where Hinato get Naruto and Sakura/Ino/NPC harem gets Sasuke based on the logic that they called dibs.  It screams males are property called by first dibs.  Their opinions will morph to your needs.  It doesn't matter if you date scum (its actually better if you do)... get that ring on their finger and they will get mind wiped and be your perfect man instantly.  Don't date the nice ones or they won't be around to cry on their shoulders if the creep makes his will save against your personality reformatting powers.
Basically, its the logic from 2/3 of the chick flicks that aren't about one person dieing horribly and slowly of a degenerative disease.
In short, I'm not against the Harry/Ginny pairing on principle, mostly its a matter of execution.  That and (being on topic here) if you had an old, evil, gay wizard steering you into a mate he'd pick the one with the huge fertility bonus.  Rather than say the girls that would have read extensively enough to catch on (Hermione) or reads eclectically enough to idea what is going on with the scar off the top of her head (Luna).
I'll note that by "INO" I meant In Name Only, as in characters that don't get more than a namedrop in canon and so are functionally OCs, not a Naruto reference. Characters changed so far from canon characterization that they're practically OCs count too, but unless that change is the focus of a "for want of a nail" or VERY well plotted and explored they tend to break more than they fix. Other than that caveat I mostly agree with you, especially about the jump-cut feel of the crapilogue.

For the record, I was sighting a fanfiction genre that has the exact same issue with fangirl wins, via dibs, in the fannon.  I mean Ginny dropped the fangirl thing... then basically wins because of it.  Granted I know that the easiest way to unfangirl a girl is to traumatize them and all, but her dropping the claim is the biggest clam she has on him.  By this logic the younger veela sister should 'win' Harry... but of course even with the wedding of her sister to a weasly I can't recall ever hearing from her again.
Gabrielle Delacour is indeed one of the more often well done INOs, as long as you exclude the impossible-to-not-suck 'veela bond' fics, which are just a more racist flavor of the generic 'everything will work out if you just find your soooul mate' tripe, which is often as not just a thin excuse for bad porn anyway.

Had a bit of an odd idea in a dream just before waking up - how would wizards view the idea of the 'recorder flute?' Obviously with such a name, it should BE able to record, and play back too. How handy that the muggles came up with a variation on phonograph records with a hole just the right size to slip over one! And the smaller size is more convenient, too. Sometimes the poor things do get dreadfully clever ideas, with a bit of magic to do them up right of course. Automatic record changing and blank

record conjuring enchantments on the upper end models, plus the levitation and blowing charms so you don't have to stand around puffing on it to listen. And so quick through the Commitee on Experimental Charms and Devices, too, why they barely tested it for 25 years! Such hasty development is sure to end in tears someday, but the Recorder & Player Flutes seem safe enough so far.

Back For Seconds - Hermione had to guide the spell, and Harry had to power it. Ron was the only one left to send... Returned to the first moment they were all together and imbued with the ability to slip a few seconds back in emergencies under his own power, Ron faces his greatest challenge: Not being such a berk about his important mission that he drives away the freinds he'll need to succeed in it.

Actually, I've always wondered if part of the issue with the kids at Hogwarts is that Guild Rules are still in play.  Which means that the school infirmary is not actually monitored by anyone but the school nurse.  Considering the info hording and territorialistic tendencies of Guild Rules... I have to wonder if Ron's main issue is that the chess set of Doom did give him drain bamage.  Not a new concept really, but I'd like to see one where the main difference between Europe and North America is that the Do-It-Yourself boon effected the magical side of things.  Meaning there is no Oblivators Guild to keep happy... So the NA reason to not blatantly spread knowledge of magic to the populous around is that it keeps the numbers of supervillians down.  Which I feel is more sensible than the 'they'd want us to do everything for them' logic in Europe.
SB BROB/Quest... how would that work?  I mean if you just punt the diary off to nowhere it makes Voldie immortal.  I'd need specifics.  If you mean the book of SB ranting to a character thing though... yes.  Psycho-Sama actually has one where his character was punted into the Fallout verse less than a year before Doom's day.  Grant it was techinically a creative writing one that got punted into the BROB thread zone.  The main idea there is that the character has a Pipboy that can see the thread.  Its a combo between documenting life and reacting to the thead.  IC he is getting as much out of the bootlegging of another world's entertainment industry as the technical data they sent him.
No, I mean specifically giving a linked book to a minor canon character and having to convince them ic to do whatever crazy stunts rather than being the method by which an insert reports back. In this case the real diary would be left on apbwd's desk, or stuffed in a storage pocket in the back cover to deal with later, or is somewhere closer to sane than V after excising those bits ala A Black Comedy, or not a horcux because V did his immortality trick a different way, or some combination of the above.

When I read this, I thought of Google's plan to digitize and post every book ever written... How many souls would Tom have access to that way?

Very nearly - my version wouldn't include an SI at all, just a line from SB to an unsuspecting world. Most likely, actually trying to do it would end with Ginny turning it over to her father in horror when some dumbass goes on about killing Draco/Snape/etc complete with methods and the book would either end up destroyed or given to the Unspeakables. Quite likely before she even reached the school. Unfortunately the linked thread seems to have gone nowhere after that first post.
