Bloodfox64 made a comment about having a wish list up so that people can request specific things like certain characters, macguffins, vehicles... even entire places and settings.
Right off the top of his head, he wanted the UNSC ship, The Pillar of Autumn... along with all the rest of the SPARTAN II's and such that were supposed to be part of Operation Red Flag.  :p

Also, how Einstein from Cowboy Bebop would get along with Zwei from RWBY.

So, anyone got anything else?  Bear in mind, this is gonna be the catch-all thread for ideas that you don't feel ready or able to take on yourself, but would love to see in the story.
For some reason I feel that there will be a distinct need for the Serenity at some point, and maybe even Unit-01. But that could be my general sense of paranoia and depression talking

I have five of the Sailor Senshi at my place. Where are the others?

EDIT: Since I posted that, we've established where all of the "core" Senshi are, except for Saturn and Pluto... RE-EDIT: and they've been located as well.
Fight scene: Pyrrha's "polarity" Semblance vs. Accelerator's "vector" Skill.
Snrk. Only if Pyrha has had a chance to mentor under Erik Magnus Lehnsherr. Otherwise Accelerator might kill the poor girl. Again.
Thing is, Pyrha's a lot more intelligent than Accelerator. If she can use her intelligence, it's a fair match.
There has to be a story behind this image. However, they aren't my characters in There's Nothing Better.
I noticed that image last week, thought it would be great for the story. If you have an idea for the image, write it up.
*Blows the dust off this thread*

Thinking about cyberpunk reminded me we have this thread here.

Dartz, you might be interested in these suggestions.

First of all: Ghost in the Shell.

Whether it's the film version (not live action) or Stand Alone Complex, I'll leave up to whoever adopts this crazy idea.  But it kinda tickles me to think about how the folks from Section 9 will need to adapt to a world where everything is such an anachronism for them.

Though Batou will probably be ecstatic.

Oh.  And Tachikomas.  Because everyone loves hyperinteligent spider tanks with a childlike approach to life and a burning curiosity towards the more existential concepts behind life and death.

The other thing: Battle Angel Alita.

It would be interesting seeing The Major, Alita, and the Girls from Genaros bounce off of each other - the Major and the Girls because of her distrust towards infomorphs and their 'naivety' in regards to what is considered socially acceptable.  And then Alita coming in between them.  I could easily imagine her telling the Major to grow up - she's done the whole song and dance with the existential crisis in learning you're just a copy of the real thing and dealing with legit artificial life pales in comparison - a person is a person, and that is that.

She might even be able to help Meg figure herself out a bit better.

(Alita can get away with saying that to the Major's face, too.  We don't know how many years of prior life she's got behind her, but it's implied to be a whole helluva lot.)

Oh, and Alita is a musician on top of everything else - and a damn good one, too.  She can legitimately help 33 Stars learn to be less "artificial" and find their actual sound.  Though Data will probably have to share with them how they might be able to "turn off" their internal chronometers.

(Yes, he's done this before with himself in an experiment to see if there is any validity in the phrase, "A watched pot never boils."  Though one of the other characters had to clue him in on the fact that humans don't have internal chronometers the way he does.)

Funny thing.  Alita's thing with using her body parts (e.g.: severed limbs) as weapons so naturally has a reason behind it.  All I'll say outside of a spoiler is that we learn about it in Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle, which primarily tells the story of Alita's past with a few side trips into "current day".

Tachikomas piloted by Misaka Sisters.

Just so the mecha can humanize the people. Smile
I'm sure events in the story will get to this image eventually... ne?
Maybe if we got The Powers to let Sakura visit Time Heart.

As for the Misaka Sisters inside Tachikomas....

.....That is so much goddamned win and love.

That happens every day, Sakura just doesn't notice :3

(Actually now that I think about it that's pretty kimoi from Sakura's POV)

Rob, can you find a use for this froggy image?

Not sure if Rob has room for Ryo Saeba in the Academy City Job, but I think the City Hunter might be useful.  (He's a level 5 mokkori user, or so he'd have you believe.)  Not sure if I'd start from the classic series, or try to go all fix-fic on Angel Heart.  Either way, I'd be surprised if Kaori's use of hammerspace was not some sort of esper power at at least level two.

I've already introduced Black Lagoon, it would be kind of cool if someone had a use for them.  They're mainly working for Ciel now, but hey, Rock has good intentions!

This is probably kind of dumb, but I'd like to introduce some hacking plot that's foiled by Rapid-Fire Typing by a young black woman.  Who is this hacker our characters ask?  Mavis motherfucking Beacon, that's who.

Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my... oops, wrong froggy.

(Digression: I suspect that that particular cartoon only gets as far as "hello my honey" before Sagara shoots the TV in a Pavlovian reflex.)

Yeah, when the folks at Blossom switch from winter clothes in December through March to rain-gear in May and June, that'll be what Nana Misaka wears.

"Hey, Revi, Ryo, want to shoot up an evil organization? We need a diversion."

(insert Revi's reaction to Ryo here)

That'll teach 'em to try hacking!
Mention of the Black Lagoon team reminded me of a different group of naer-do-wells, Lupin III and friends.. Maybe have mention of some big heist on the news?
......  Wouldn't Misaka, you know...  Feel a bit self conscious about wearing a two-piece swimsuit under a translucent rain poncho?  After all, this is the same girl who gets mortified whenever her mother's around and attention gets drawn to her... endowments...  knowing full-well that she's gonna inherit the same thing.

Or have I been reading things wrong?
I read those scenes as "Mom, you're embarrassing me..."
If you want Lupin III, I can write Lupin III. I've seen like hundreds of episodes by now, and it's all Tomo's fault. No, really. Oh, and I've seen Cowboy Bebop which definitely counts as Lupin, if you just think of it as a bunch of Jigen episodes.
Hmmmmm... Arf / Alph can shift between human and canine forms, and can de-age her canine form to puppy age. Fan artist "umekichi" draws a logical conclusion... Any room for this in the story?
D'oh gawd that is all kinds of adorbs.

With the recent events, Arf has begun to discuss the matter with the rest of the Westwoods residents (and apartment manager) the idea of accompanying the girls to school.  And thus, cute puppy-girl Arf.

What will be funny is that she will notice right away that a cute little girl like that can get away with all kinds of things as she wraps people around her little fingers.  So Child-Arf might be a thing we see pretty often.
Hmmmmm... Just realized that, because we're taking the Nakajimas from A's-era instead of StrikerS-era, Ginga and Subaru are in the same boat as Minawa Ando - cyborgs with not-fully-grown bodies.

I wouldn't mind seeing a side-story where Washuu-chan sets up medical regimens for all three of them, upgrading them all in the process. It isn't as if any of the other displacees have the technical knowhow for the job... Maybe get Minato Hokaze (Mahoro's maintenance specialist), Chitose Hibiya (persocom chassis designer at Piffle) and any other cybernetics specialist in the setting to help out, teaching them more about cybernetics in the process.
Don't forget Doctor Ido - Alita's adoptive father and cyber physician.

Tachikomas make everything better. Even GuP.
More fan art! No Tachikoma, though.
