Well, I'm not exactly disappointed more like underwhelmed.
It's not bad - rather a serviceable Ghibli film. But since this is Ghibli you kind of expect more.
Anyway, it's worth the 2 hours to watch it.
Edit: And, yeah, big spoiler, Ghibli did what they did to Wynn-Jones' Howl and messed around with the plot. There, so I won't have Earthsea purists howling at me. ^_^
Edit2: Okay, yeah, for those asking how much it deviated from the plot, here's Ursula LeGuin's succinct quote to Goro Miyazaki on it:
"It is not my book. It is your movie. It is a good movie."
