Actually? I haven't seen anything that'd give me a need to do major retooling yet. Oh, there are some things - like my guesses about the TSAB's attitude to trade vs. what we later learned about its role in restricting conventional weapons' development, or my interpretation of Lindy and her kids' surname ('Hal-lor-an' rather than 'Har-la-own' - probably an Engrish bit to start with but fitting for someone from another planet) - but nothing that couldn't be resolved with some ingenuity and a largish wrench.
So the mental wheels are rolling again on this one, yeah... but don't expect anything for the next week or so, I'm kinda busy at the moment.

It's looking more and more like Earth isn't going to appear on-screen in Strikers, which, if true, leaves its circumstances both before and after that show as an open book for me to play with.
Oh, and, another Mahou Shojo trope: We never see much of the enemy's culture, world, or motivations.

I have several scenes of the new version already written, more in the works, and plans to incorporate and adapt most of the material I've already put up in this thread. Actual releases, though, will have to wait until I can find a fansub of 26.
