New Video from OK GO - Bob Schroeck - 06-23-2010 This one seems to owe a lot to Mike Jittlov: -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - HoagieOfDoom - 06-24-2010 Pardon me while my brain melts out of my ears. - Ankhani - 06-24-2010 Very interesting timing effects. I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - Bob Schroeck - 06-24-2010 No, Ankh, that's the point, especially if they are emulating Mike Jittlov. There's no processing, and the effects are completely in-the-camera -- they're stop-motion animating themselves. For instance, check out these two videos by Mike Jittlov, who essentially pioneered the concept thirty-plus years ago. The first is Jittlov's best-known work. The second half (1:42 and onward) shows this effect, and you can see how faithfully OK Go has reproduced it. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. |
