Well... supposedly (this is the Internet after all) the toilet is actually at the top of a 15 story elevator shaft for the penthouse in a building in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Here's photos of the rest of the penthouse, including some more bathroom shots

Never really noticed until now.

And that, DS, is what you call a True American Icon. I consider the GE logo to be one of them.

- s3yang - 05-16-2012

I'm actually a bit more amused by the fact that the Pepsi logo was very similar to the coke logo for a while... and then it wasn't.

- Bob Schroeck - 05-16-2012

Oh, you should read the story about the early days of the Coke-Pepsi rivalry some time. It's amusingly vicious and cutthroat. The logo is just the tip of the iceberg.

heh. that's... pretty damned amusing.

Thanks Bob, my knowledge of trivia has increased!

- Rod.H - 05-18-2012

An exposure on the Coke v Pepsi thing can also be picked up in a few related episodes of Modern Marvels and some other History Channel shows. I still can't get over the fact that Jones Soda Co occasionally produces grass-flavoured soda along with the holiday seasonal ones -Turkey?!?

I'm not particularly familiar with the mechanics of electric guitars, but I'm guessing that that cord is a one-way trip to electrocution, or at least the total destruction of an electric bass.

Extremely minor thing that annoys me more than it should #26:

Having to rename these files as I save them, as the filenames are just numbers, and repeat in different posts.

To the filenames the location I typically find them has them organised like that in a weekly folder.

Must be a Mel Brooks film

- Bob Schroeck - 05-25-2012

That's not a Mel Brooks film -- it's one of the Airplane! movies, probably the original.

Okay, now I want to know how to create custom error messages like that. "There is no paper only Zuul." Freakin' awesome. Big Grin

- Sweno - 05-25-2012

I know some printers will accept any properly formatted udp packet to set the status message.

I have forgotten what brand those printers are.

I have forgotten how to format those packets.

But I know it's possible (there would be some rather amusing contents in my old work place on who could come up with the most amusing status message for the printer in dev)

The printer error reminds me of a distant friend of mine... her name is Dana; she has her own domain: OnlyZuul.(something, I can't remember off hand).
