Song for Madeline, part II - Logan Darklighter - 09-26-2003 As Chapter XIII proceeds towards completion, and Madeline's story continues to hint at revealing itself, I felt it appropriate to say how I feel her arc should end... Did you know that I am a pioneer I'm out on a secret mission I travel the galaxy and far beyond Can't you see that I am I pioneer Unlocking the greatest mysteries My key is a fearless heart So pure and strong People laugh when you are a pioneer Not walking the straight and narrow They tell you the things are They swear you're wrong You can't be a hero Hiding underneath your bed Got to live the life You create inside your head So I opened the window Caught the wind one night Now I sail with the birds in their flight If you're tired of everything Come hitch a ride with me You'll cry out in joy When you realize you're free It's a trip like no other For your heart and mind Leaving all but the future for behind Some will say you're safer here Never mind them - be a pioneer! Can't you see that you are a pioneer Not one of the endless talkers Who tell you the same old rules you're heard before I can tell that you are a pioneer You want to be facing danger Not happy to hide your big dreams anymore You are a pioneer, the same as me [ Guitar Solo ] You can't be a hero Hiding underneath your bed So we'll live the life We've created in our heads We'll wake up every morning In a whole new place On a road reaching out into space Some will say we're safer here Never mind them - we are pioneers Hand in hand we'll journey as pioneers Unlocking the greatest mysteries Don't listen to anyone Who says we're wrong They can't stop you when you're a pioneer For truth is your greatest weapon Out there in the cosmos Where we both belong A place for pioneers Like you and me Through the ages we well be pioneers We'll go out on secret missions We'll travel the galaxy and far beyond It's our destiny to be pioneers We'll always be moving forward Our courage is what we will be counting on We will be pioneers forevermore Re: Song for Madeline, part II - Bob Schroeck - 09-29-2003 Hm. I presume you mean Madigan? And I think you're looking for too much in her "redemption". She's not going to turn into Princess Serenity, after all... -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Re: Song for Madeline, part II - zojojojo - 09-29-2003 Quote:so no "Genom Crystal Power Make-Up!", huh? ![]() -Z, Post-reader at Medium ---- If architects built buildings the way programmers write programs, the first woodpecker to come along would destroy civilization. Re: Song for Madeline, part II - Ace Dreamer - 09-30-2003 How about "L5 Crystal Power Makeup", or "O'Niell Crystal etc"? No? Could you have "Internet Crystal Power Makeup", seeing as some people say that is a world in its own right? [grin] I still think that "Loony Crystal Power Makeup" that draws on Doug's powers to power it all has sorts of possibilities! [grin] -- "It is the business of the future to be dangerous" - Hawkwind Re: Song for Madeline, part II - Bob Schroeck - 09-30-2003 Quote:Don't you realize that the incantation that turns Lisa into Sailor Loon is really "Loon Prism Power Make-up!" ? The "Sailor Power" bit is just a dodge. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Er, Madigan, yes, whatever was I thinking? - Logan Darklighter - 10-03-2003 Actually, right now, I'm imagining her partnered with another purple-haired person of wealth, arrogance, and undeniable attractiveness. Ayeka of Jurai. Hence the song. ![]() (Maybe a little silly, that. But I think Katie's got places to go and worlds to conquer and... stop that! Stop it!) Sorry, my id is acting up again. Re: Er, Madigan, yes, whatever was I thinking? - Bob Schroeck - 10-03-2003 Quote:Hey, there's a seed for a fic in there -- why don't you try writing it? (More evilly -- what if Madigan is Ayeka? ) -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Katherine Madigan, Princess of Jyurai? - Logan Darklighter - 10-04-2003 Hmmmm. Actually, there is a fairly cool 'fic idea in there... gonna have to give it some thought. Not necessarily Katie -as- Ayeka, but as a relative... hmm... Speaking of Magical Girls... - Freddy Isnot - 10-05-2003 Does Lisa end up being some sort of magical girl? Not exactly a sailor senshi, but I think you're hinting at Lisa having at least some sort of metagift. The way she transformed into Sailor Loon so naturally when Doug gave her access to the node. How she was able to hear conversations in the battle between Doug and the Knight Sabers. Did Doug accidently create the first mage that this universe has ever had? Or am I going crazy and seeing things that aren't there? I suppose there are other ways you can explain these. Maybe it was Hexe that gave Lisa the power listen in. I thought that also seemed a strong possibility. As for Lisa's seemingly natural talent, it could simply reflect a very strong desire and will on Lisa's part. What I really want to know is: after Doug leaves, will Sailor Loon live on? To fight for Love and Justice? Consider that a compliment." -Zipcode Re: Speaking of Magical Girls... - Bob Schroeck - 10-06-2003 Quote:Do you really want me to answer that now, and spoil the experience of finding out one way or the other in its proper time? Quote:I'll tell you this -- Hexe did in fact allow Lisa to listen in. She knew Lisa was on the roof, and knew from Doug's subconscious mind her role in Doug's life at that point. Hexe used her control over the air to "channel" the sound of their conversation up to Lisa -- and cut it off right before Doug used her True Name, which is something she wouldn't want Lisa to have. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. |
