Re: Theme from "Sailor Loon" - Rod.H - 10-09-2002 0.0 and it fits the music too... --Rod.H " Great, now the original's playing in my mind again..." Re: Theme from "Sailor Loon" - Bob Schroeck - 10-09-2002 If you think I'm adding a "Sailor Says" epilogue to the story, you're nuts. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Re: Theme from "Sailor Loon" - Aleh - 10-16-2002 Of course, that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the lyrics of the original version, only the crappy American dub... Re: Theme from "Sailor Loon" - Bob Schroeck - 10-17-2002 True enough; and the NA version doesn't even use all of the music -- just the "hook". -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Re: Theme... - Aleh - 10-27-2002 Yeah. The following are a translation of the original lyrics to that song: I'm sorry if I'm not gentile, I can say that in my dreams, My thoughts are about to short circuit, I want to see you right now... Moonlight makes me want to cry, Midnight is too late to call... But I'm naive, what will I do? My heart is a kaleidoscope... Being lead into moonlight, We will meet by chance many times over... The sparkling number of stars Fortells the whereabouts of love. Born on the same Earth... Miracle Romance... Do you believe in a... Miracle Romance? Hmm... to adopt *THAT* to Sailor Loon would be a bit harder, but I'll try. I'm sorry if I'm not gentile, I can say that in my buma, Its thoughts are about to short circuit, I want to see you right now... Loonlight makes me want to laugh, As it is too late to call... But I'm odd; what will I do? My mind is a kaleidoscope... Being lead into loonlight, We will meet by chance many times over... The sparkling number of stars Fortells the whereabouts of love. Not born on the same Earth... Lunatic Romance... Do you believe in a... Lunatic Romance? Okay, so it's not all that good, but it's *CERTAINLY* better than some things I've seen... Re: Theme... - Bob Schroeck - 10-28-2002 Ouch. You know what's really weird about "Moonlight Densetsu"? I read the English translation, and expect something slow and languid-sounding, but the orchestration and performance is if anything even bouncier and perkier than the North American dub theme. Very strange. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. Re: Theme from "Sailor Loon" - Bob Schroeck - 11-21-2002 Quote:I just have to add a little something... I was going through my quote file recently and rediscovered this: "We are the pretty hardsuited soldiers Saber Knights, and in the name of the Moon, we will --" "SHUT UP, CHRIS!" -- God's Toy 1.2: A Steel Child, by Christopher Angel And I think that says everything that needs saying about "Sailor Knight Saber". -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. |
