This works in Firefox, at least:
Go to a forum list and hover the pointer over the title of a thread you started. A tooltip will pop up: "(Click and hold to edit)". Click and hold on the title, and after about two seconds it turns into a text box that you can edit. ENTER saves the changes, ESC cancels them.

I was aware of that feature, although I haven't had need of it yet, really. Nice catch, though.

I can affirm this nifty little feature works in Chrome as well.
