I don't think one is "better" than the other... one implies that one follows the big crowd to the detriment of reality... the other implies one is paying too much attention to things to the detriment of reality. They both imply an ignorance of reality.
In other words, they are both problematic enough that I wouldn't care about which one is better or worse... I'd be equally offended to them being used to describe my attentions.

Most conservatives would argue that being the woke crowd are all sheeple, following liberal thought control rather than thinking for themselves.
