Schedule crunch - writers please action - robkelk - 08-29-2026

Writers, please check the Drafts list on AO3 before end of day August 31. I came up with something that might fill a gap in the posting schedule... if you'll let me post it. (I can't be the first person to think of the plot gimmick, but it is a bit silly...)

Bob, I'm having trouble with the PM system. If I specify more than one person to receive the PM, it claims that none of the recipients are registered. Even if I pull them off my Buddies list.

Oh, that's weird.

Looks like my PM issue has been fixed (or went away on its own).

So far, only Bob has replied about the story...

I didn't get the punchline because it's one of those running gags that went over my head unnoticed (and I had to Google it). Otherwise good, but I removed stray punctuation from the draft.

Thanks.

And this is why everything goes through a preread step. Bob and I are old enough to get the joke, but I can't expect folks who start numbering the seasons of the new version of Doctor Who at "one" to know the truly old references. I've added an explanatory note to the end of the story.
