AMVs that -should- exist... - Evil Midnight Lurker - 10-31-2003 ...but don't. I might be dangerous!" Re: AMVs that -should- exist... - Valles - 11-01-2003 Not so long ago, I found myself listening to Kansas' album In the Spirit of Things. And, since I had been obsessed with Inuyasha for a while, then, I started thinking about... AMVs! What was scary was that I could come up with reasonably detailed concepts for just about every song on the album. Some highlights include - One Man, One Heart - centered on dogboy himself, of course, with special attention to the his relationship with Kagome and how it plays out across all three of his forms. One Big Sky - Kagome vs. Feudal Japan! (oh, come on; could you resist? 'we are children of the future...') Inside of Me - Of Sango, Miroku, love, and the masks people choose to wear. Bells of Saint James - Kikyou and Inuyasha, from the former's POV The Preacher - Miroku does action-comedy. Blessed be. -n =========== =============================================== "V, did you do something foolish?" "Yes, and it was glorious." Re: AMVs that -should- exist... - Bob Schroeck - 11-03-2003 I have a short list of videos I want to try my hand at making, now that I have a system that can handle it. I won't reveal some of them -- one in particular is something Peggy came up with last year and is just such a great idea that I'm surprised no one else has done it yet, and I don't want anyone to steal it! But I threw one out at the Poolcleaners consortium a little while back, when it didn't look like I was going to be making a video any time soon: Veruca Salt's "Seether", for a profile of Akane Tendo. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. "Heavy Metal" Blue Oyster Cult, with loads, and loads, of mecha! -- "It is the business of the future to be dangerous" - Hawkwind Re: AMVs that -should- exist... - Bakadring - 11-05-2003 I've always imagined someone doing a "training montage" video to "I'll Make a Man out of You" from the Mulan soundtrack, featuring every cracked martial arts master in anime- Genma Saotome ranting about "Did they send me daughters, when I asked for sons?" seems particularly appropriate. Re: AMVs that -should- exist... - Star Ranger4 - 11-06-2003 DokiKitty Productions did one, but not really like that. The audio mixing in some segments where the anime dialogue is (I assume) intended to be audible could use a bit of work, but aside from that, it's pretty good. It's on my hard drive at home, I'll have to look it up when I get back. Re: BA-Marathon - Star Ranger4 - 07-15-2005 A thought, that, but I seem to have deleted the file in question a couple of months ago Bert."I was an Otaku before those kids came along and changed the meaning of the word." -- HM "Howling Mad" Wilson to more than one team-mate. Re: Linkin Park's In The End and Ranma. - Reyemile - 03-07-2006 You'd think it would have been done already. I hate Ranma, and I hate Linkin Park, but every time I hear this line from In The End, I can't help but think of Ranma's relationship with Akane Quote: Re: Linkin Park's In The End and Ranma. - Ayiekie - 03-20-2006 (Wouldn't that be Akane's relationship with Ranma?) On the subject of Linkin Park videos that haven't been done, "With You" to SMJ's Tiger would be incredibly appropriate: Even though youre so close to me Youre still so distant And I cant bring you back One of my favourites, that I really want to try someday because I'm sure nobody else will, is do Great Big Sea's "Consequence Free" for a Utena video featuring Miki/Kozue: Wouldn't it be great If the band just never ended We could stay out late And we would never hear last call Wouldn't need to worry about approval or punishment We could step off the edge And never worry about the fall And on the note of Utena vids, Green Day's Basket Case would make an awesome "Nanami Episode" video: I am one of those Melodramatic fools Neurotic to the bone No doubt about it Sometimes I give myself the creeps Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me It all keeps adding up I think I'm cracking up Am I just paranoid?
