Build Plan: Senoku - jpub - 10-12-2008 Here's my build plan for my DB/SR. I could use some advice on how to make him a little better. Please be aware that I'm trying to avoid going after ludicrously expensive IOs and Procs where possible. The only ones that I've used are ones I haven't had too much trouble getting previously for not wholy ludicrous prices. Well, except for the LotG recharge, but eh. Get the numina's unique in health, stat! add the Numina's heal, and you get 12% global regen on top of the regen/recov from the unique, which allows you to burn the third slot on.. Miracle +recov. If you ever have end problems which *checks* Well! nevermind that, then. Third Health slot for Regenerative Tissue +Regen, OK. Pull a slot from Hover, put it into Swift - if you aren't gonna LOTG, you might as well _fly_ quick. Now, if you wanna keep that slot in hover, put an LOTG 7.5% in there. drop another LOTG +def, since hover is Def(all), it'll help the positional defense as well, and net a keen 10% regen. Here comes the screaming. Gut Blinding Feint. Refill the six slots with a full Gaussian's set. 2.5% on all positionals is too delicious to pass up, IMO. I'd do it again if you had Focussed Accuracy. 44.2% Melee Def, 45+ on range and AoE. You absolutely commited to Fly as a travel power? Reason I'm asking is Combat Jumping is an extra few percent defense defence for effectively no end cost. The six slot Gaus Fire control bonus of +2.5 def bonus can only be claimed once, as the +Chance for buildup is now unique in the game. I've mucked around with Dual Blades when they were introduced on Test a little. The combo idea is neat... just don't miss an attack or the combo resets. Also a target has to stay alive for the entire combo for it to work. Noticed you don't have Nimble Slash in your build... What? That's part of the build up combo aka Empower. And the Weaken combo. You'll notice that my suggestions don't include the Numia unique... nor the other health unique. If you can get them fine. But in the 4+ years I've been playing this game, I'm yet to get one on any of my toons. They are too rare and too expensive. Tweaks to existing build: Agree with Wire... Its not a plasent experience. If you can, change the order of the Autos to Dodge, Agile, Lucky, aka: Melee, Ranged, AoE. That's the order of threats you generally have to worry about. YMMV. Also in my experience, toggles are more powerful then autos. Blinding Feint change to Gaussian's of level of your choice... just six slot it. Looking at the build you'll only be able to get two combos: Sweep: One Thousand Cuts (32) -> Typhoon's Edge (Av 6 Pl 24) -> Power Slice (1) Attack Vitals: Ablating Strike (2) -> Vengeful Slice (18) -> Sweeping Strike (26) The trap with using Hover/Fly as travel power is including the def bonus of Hover as part of your positional defenses. Unless you are using something like Speed on Demand, that is impossible to do. As Wire suggests I'd shuffle the slots around so that the extra slot goes to comes out of Hover and is used either in Swift, or Fly. (not shown in build) Dual Blades need Acc... can't really squezze more out of it without going into purples or rebuilding Senoku to make use of the Empower combo. |-------------------------------------------------------------------|Rebuilt Senoku. With Nimble Slash to open up the Weaken and Empower combo. Order of powers taken also shuffled around a little. Positional Defenses: M: 43% R: 40.5% A:39.9% ... right on the cusp of Pera-lude against even level mobs. Popping a purple would be like god mode. Uses Air Superiority over Hover. An extra attack never hurts. And the -Fly componet to get mobs on the ground where you can open up with blades. If needed you can change it for Hover. Regarding Fly: I'd suggest 3 slotting it with Freebird and putting a Leaping +stealth in Sprint. Its cheaper, more end effiecent, and you can quickly toggle it on and off. Besides the fact you get more desireable set bonuses. As always, the exact level of the slotting is flexible, as it the level of the IOs... move the IOs up or down to suit. These can be left or moved out into the autos (for things like the Kismet +Acc) or to one of the toggles, which would then change the IOs set from GotA to Serendipity for better bonuses.
