Hey, guys? Does anyone know why my thread over in Other People's Fanfiction, rfc-being-you-is-deculture-t11980.html, has over 1.3k reads on it already? Is this because of Google spiders or something like that?

It's showing 1.4k when I looked just now. That sounds more like a DoS attack than spiders.
As we appear to still have service, I'm placing my bets on "the stats are malfunctioning".
