Re: VIIOR and Related Resource - ECSNorway - 08-30-2007 An interesting set of gadget tropes to pick; I suppose they pruned the list for those that were scientifically testable as opposed to "freeze rays" and such. I think that the Batman-style grapnel/ascender rig is probably /possible/... just not quite as small as the cartoon makes it out to be, and probably hellaciously expensive. The actual componentry and machining would be far beyond what the Mythbusters could spend a few days on, but then, we're talking Bruce Wayne's Billions, here.
