NCSoft is trying to make some of that sweet MOBA lucre... perhaps a little johnny-come-lately for the US market, but might their Korean market strategy let this one last?

I saw Statesman in a couple places on that page, especially the video at the top, but where was Ghost Widow?

They're clearly mining previous IPs for characters. Mondo Zax is an NPC from WildStar, and Rytlock (officially Rytlock Brimstone, Tribune of the Blood Legion of the Charr) is one of the major NPCs from Guild Wars 2. I'm sure others are from Lineage 2 and other MMORPGs.

For what it's worth, this project failed miserably for NCSoft.

Yeah, I saw that. I believe I also saw that part of the reason that it failed is that they pulled it very quickly, with little or no warning, and no patience to see if it might be salvageable. Seems pretty typical for them.
