In the bibliography for Green Ronin Games Paragons, their newer setting for Mutants
and Masterminds. It's described as having "plenty of interesting ideas for a more realistic treatment of paranormals and their abilities."

Got my copy right before we left on vacation, and I've been reading it on and off for the last few days. And I just came across the entry for Vanguard...
and if I'm not mistaken, I do believe I see some echoes of the International Super Teams in it. As in "inspired by the idea of", not "filed
the serial numbers off of".

Okay, after finishing the whole thing, boy howdy do I see echoes. A UN superforce whose elite team is tagged "Alpha," which has a massively-powerful weather manipulator on it?
