Need some info... - robkelk - 09-21-2006

I was going through the Credits sections of BSBW, and discovered that I've got eighteen songs quoted in the work so far - song powers, chapter header quotes, throwaway references by Doug, and so on. I know the copyright information for only five of the songs. This isn't a good average...
Does anyone know the copyright information for these songs?

English version of 99 Red Balloons, by Gabriela "Nena" Kerner.
Calypso, by John Denver.
Knock on Wood, written by Eddie Floyd and Steve Cropper.
I Am the Slime, by Frank Zappa.
Little Old Lady from Pasedena, by Jan and Dean.
Nemo, by Nightwish.
Raining Again, by Moby.
Rubber Band Man, by The Spinners.
(I'm So Hot for Her and) She's So Cold, by the Rolling Stones.
Stalin's Organs, by GWAR.
These Dreams, by Heart.
Working My Way Back To You, by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
You May Be Right, by Billy Joel.

To show folks what I need, here's the information for one of those other five songs:
Don't Stop Me Now, by Queen, written by Freddie Mercury, copyright 1978 EMI Music Publishing.

Thanks in advance...

That's the only one I have info for right now, sorry.

It's more than I had - thanks!
(And I just found out another one, by the expedient of going out and buying a "Best of..." CD: Tainted Love, by Soft Cell, written by Ed Cobb, copyright 1981 Some Bizarre. Two dow, 11 to go...)

I know I have a couple of these on 45s that used to be in the bottom drawer of the entertainment center in the living room, but now I can't find them, dammit...

How are you doing on this, Rob? Are you still in need of any of them?

Re: Need some info... - robkelk - 09-28-2006

This thread is up-to-date; I still need any that we haven't already posted the info for.

(Edit: Oh, and I don't have time right now to rant about how band websites don't include copyright data. If "information wants to be free", where's this information gone?)

Well, obviously, it got free... and ran off.

I'll see what I can dig up out of our CD collection when I get home tonight, Rob.
