Even if Harry is a Sue, at least his opposition is on roughly the same level as he is. Dumbledore has an unrealistic level of influence, and I find it makes things interesting. It's almost like if Partially Kissed Hero hadn't run totally off the rails.

Given that it's a Kinsfire fic, what can you expect?
Just off the top of my head, I honestly can't think of a single fic he's done in which Harry hasn't gotten multiple women, and generally there's a lot of gratuitous focus on sex into the bargain.

Actually, I'm wondering if Kinsfire isn't actually trying to write a deconstruction of the Harry Sue subgenre. It's impossible to say yet; we'll need to see more chapters to be sure -- but at the moment, setting up a Harry Sue, only to have Evil!Dumbledore and Evil!Minion!Snape be equal to the task of countering him, is rather unusual. If they can keep it up, I'll call this a deconstruction for sure; if Harry (or the girls) starts sweeping the opposition away with ease, though...

That Fragmented Ideas installment is a lot of fun; I'd love to see that expanded and carried through the rest of the series.
Oh, and for those who are impatient for its conclusion, which should be in a day or so, you can get all the remaining installments of Kinsfire's Betrayed in the files section of a Yahoo Group called "3 or 4 Part Harmony", where he apparently was betaing it. Naturally, I read them last night -- there are only two chapters left at the time I write this -- but I will hold off on my thoughts and/or opinions until everyone else has a chance to.
