Anyone know a good mailing list server/site? Someone at my work needs to email 5000+ people since we're hosting a major conference here, and we don't
want it coming out of our server. We have enough trouble with spammers without getting blacklisted again.

Since you have not had any suggestions, I thought I'd very tentatively mention Yahoo.
I have no experience with mass emailing and very little practice with my Yahoo email accounts, but you might check into Yahoo's rules for thier free and
paid accounts and see how what thier limits are for sending out emails.
I'm almost certain they have fairly strict rules about sending emails, but if all else has failed then it might be worth checking thier terms of service.
