You have to wonder how the job description reads... - robkelk - 03-10-2008

Seen on the Inquirer: http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/ ... ntious-moi]Preposterous job title of the weak (sp)

Exactly what does a "Metaverse Evangelist" do, anyway? It's a job at IBM, so it (probably) doesn't have anything to do with fanfiction...

Probably some kind of Net advocate, for lack of a better name. "Metaverse" was a cyberspace-like virtual place in Stephenson's Snow Crash, after all.

A metaverse evangelist is basically someone who tries to push the use of virutal worlds - for simulation and development, for the most part, IIRC.

Silly sounding, but a serious job.
