Hi everyone
Hi everyone
#1
Hi all,
My name is Brent, and I'm addicted to anime.  Oh wait, this isn't a support group?  Never mind.
Anyway, I'm over here because I was a certain someone made a page on Revolutionary Girl Utena on TV Tropes.  And then that certain someone left a recommendation to read Symphony of the Sword.  Long story later, I've been really getting into reading fanfiction; I'm in the middle of reading Drunkard's Walk 2 now.  I think we all know who to blame for this.
I'm writing my own Azumanga Daioh fic now, about Tomo (and Yomi's) adventures in Interpol, but I've only written about one and a half acts on the first story.  And I'm a meteorologist, not currently employed.  Okay, that's it for now.

As has been said in many introductions previous, Welcome! The two rules espoused by our illustrious leader are "Have Fun" and "Play Nice."  I don't think the former has ever been strictly enforced, though; and the latter should come naturally. Unless you're in the Politics Forum.
(And I hope I don't get smitten for usurping Bob's Welcome =D)

support group? not so much...

more like enabling group Smile

Welcome to the madhouse, I'm sure we will be able to recommend more fun ways to suck up your free time than hours you have to spend (But it will be fun to try).

Hi, Brent! Welcome to the madhouse...

Likes anime? Check. Writing some fanfiction? Check. I think you'll fit in here just fine...

Once you've finished Drunkard's Walk II, start on DW V - if you're lucky, the final chapter should be ready for you just as you're finishing what's currently on the website. (If you aren't lucky, you'll have to wait... but not for too long, relatively speaking.)

No, Ankh, you won't get smitten. Or smote. My smiter is at the dry cleaners.

Unlike everyone else.

And welcome to the Forums, Brent, I'm glad to see you here. I never anticipated an ally from TVT would follow me back here and join, so I have to admit I'm pleased and surprised. Makes me glad I didn't follow through with one of my first ideas and offline the entire DW archive on my website to force them to delete the page...

I'll also add to Rob's note that Helen and I are about half through with DW13 chapter 2, if you don't mind reading the end of the saga. And I've recently jumped into DW8 (Harry Potter) with both feet, so that may end up on the "live" list shortly.

That did come to my mind when I was reading.  I almost did a wget --mirror so I could be sure to read it.
It will be a while before I can jump to a different step.  I've just
gotten to the part with Sailor Lisa, which -- besides making me giggle
like a schoolgirl -- reminds me a lot of The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
Strange things are going on, conspiracies abound, and the theories are
getting wilder and wilder in the law enforcement part of the cast and amongst
the conspirators.  And only a journalist has the slightest inkling of what's really
going on.  Well played.

Though I have spent a lot of time on wikis, I've spent very little time on forums.  However, I do think that I'll like this little madhouse.

Well howdy do over there. Greetings and salutations from the land of Texas, the place some people wish would just go away. Wink

(You might actually want to investigate my home for job opportunities. I can't imagine there -not- being meteorology openings in this place.)

Anyhow, once you've had your fill of DW, you might want to swing on by Fenspace. It'll distract you from the pain of not having anymore DW to read until Bob updates, and we're always open to new contributors.

That's right - you'll have to spam like somebody other than Dartz.

Oh, sure - make me work some more on my DW/Fenspace crossover... (There's a story with lag times between chapters to match DW's...)

I'm pretty new here, so I think I only have clearance to spam in red text.  Doing so in orange or higher would be treason.

Er not yet.  Fenspace, where have I heard of this before... oh right, Disney's World, on the Eyrie forums.

There are probably a few, but the field is small in both graduates and jobs, so you almost have to wait for people to retire.
Three quotes.  I guess it's time to switch from wysiwyg mode to vbcode mode.

Snrk.  I've heard much about this game... And as insane as it is, I don't think I'd like to play it.  ;p

Let me put it this way...  representatives from most of the major Steps in the Walk come chasing after Doug and have their own adventures on the way.
