Kick ALL the Starters!

... Well that's darn peculiar.

Part of that line was supposed to be a link to it. When I go in to edit the reply, it's right there. But it didn't work? o.O

I found something kinda neat on Kickstarter's website. Just go to any project page, scroll to the top of the page, and then press the up arrow key.

A friend passed this along to me, and I thought I'd pass it along to you.  It's for a multi-genre fiction magazine.

Sorry for the sequential posting, but I figure enough time has passed to warrent a new post.
Anyway, you all remember this, right?

Well, the creators are kickstarting a followup, here.

Here's one that might be of interest.

They're crowdsourcing a Veronica Mars movie on Kickstarter. It started yesterday, and made $1 million in about four and a half hours. As I type this, it just ticked over $2.7 million of its $2 million goal. With 29 days left to go yet...

Edit:  And may I just add -- if Kristen Bell's message to the Kickstarter community is any indication, the woman is a grade-A goofball of the type who would be warmly welcomed here at the DWForums.

Edit 2:  From the FAQ on the page, just for giggles:
• What if the movie doesn't end in the way I've believed it should end for the past six years?
Eek.
• Veronica better end up with Logan, Rob. She just better.
That's not a question.
• We're just saying...
I hear you. Remember, it's noir. There aren't a lot of happy endings.
• Noir, my ass. We've waited a long time for this.
(Busily reworking super-grim ending.)

It's not a KS any longer, but Project Awakened, the create-a-hero action game, has launched a second fundraiser.  It looks like a good concept- I'd hate to see it fail.

As of this post, there is about six hours left for the Dresden Codak kickstarter. He's well past the original goal, but some of the stretch goals are rather neat. Specifically, I'm looking at the redesign of every dinosaur from Jurassic Park with modern paleontology.

Don't know if I want. Mainly down to things I've heard about Palladium, do I want to give Harmony Gold money? I think I've got plenty of minifig game systems to play with ATM, and I think this entire project has some bad juju associated to it. Those Mechwarrors amongst us though....here's ya Unseens!

This might be interesting for some

Yet another movie - but I suspect we all already know the plot to this one:

Be sure to read the FAQ section... after reading the rest of the project.

It's not using Palladium's RPG rules system, if that's what you're worried about.Palladium is working with Ninja Division on the miniatures game, and there's a demo-play video showing the basics of how gameplay works.
The tablescapes kickstarter you posted is also interesting, thanks for linking it.

I have a feeling that some of you might enjoy this RPG setting/system.
According to the lead editor (who(m?) I have met, he's a cool guy), Myriad Song is
Quote:a game of science-fiction adventure inspired by the colorful, creative
work of Heavy Metal Magazine through the 70's and 80's and by the
science-fiction novels of Jack Vance.
See here for more info, much of which isn't on the Kickstarter page.

To be fair the $60 000 goal was always going to be broken. The fanbase maybe vitriolic and unpleasant at times but they are loyal and love the game.

No, the more interesting target is if they hit 200 or more requests for the orichalcum edition variant of the hard cover.
EDIT: Yes, they did hit the 200 or more requests for the orichalcum edition. Took about a week.
