Archeologists find world's oldest bread
Archeologists find world's oldest bread
#1
Abstract of the paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
Pop-science story on CBC

tl;dr: Bread-making (the unleavened sort, at least) predates farming by four millennia. Apparently, the recipe is an acquired taste.

So... what is this the best thing since? Wink

After 14,500 years it's probably gone a bit stale.....

I love the smell of rotaries in the morning. You know one time, I got to work early, before the rush hour. I walked through the empty carpark, I didn't see one bloody Prius or Golf. And that smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole carpark, smelled like.... ....speed.

One day they're going to ban them.
