I feel like I've seen this premise before, but can't remember if it was fanfic or TF comics or what. Anyone else have any ideas?
A wanderer told me of his travels,
In a distant future time,
Who said—“A signal led me to a throne
Abandoned in orbit. Upon it, scorched and scarred,
Half ruined, a shattered Seeker sits, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its owner well those passions knew
Which yet survive, stamped on these grim remains,
The hand that mocked them, the fuel pump that fed;
And in the signal, these words appear:
My name is Starscream, Emperor of Decepticons;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Below the decay
Of that orbital Wreck, twisted and bare
Scrap and seas of rust stretch far away.
